Do you say babies are cute to their parents when you think they are ugly or just to the cute ones?

just to elaborate.. The parent doesn't actually have to ask.. Just say a baby you pass in the grocery store. Do you just stare or do you saw aw what a cutie.. Even to the ugly ones? (I know this is a funny question..hee hee)

I do, yes. Everyone thinks their baby is the cutest in the world...regardless of how homely the baby actually is in your opinion. When I see the not-so-cute babies, I don't make a point to stop and actually talk to the parents and tell them how cute their baby is...I just smile at the baby in passing and say something like, "Oh, how sweet! Hi baby!" and keep moving.

Yes, I always make a point to say how cute a baby is, even when they are not! It makes the mom feel good and it doesn't take any more energy to say something nice.

of COURSE, some ppl say it jus to be nice, i personally think, a guy would say it jus to get closer to the mother, or some ppl jus make up lies like that, nobody would really say someones baby was ugly so why not say their cute a little lie cant hurt once in a while

I don't go out my way to say that to strangers. But I do say it friends and family. I honestly don't think newborns are at all cute. I didn't even think my own was cute. I was glad she wasn't all smushed and purple but I still didn't think she was really cute until a couple of weeks later.

Of course you lie! If a baby is ugly don't tell the parents. Keep it amongst yourself and maybe tell a few close friends, lol.

who on earth are you comparing the baby with? they are all cute, even if they have only 2 fingers. you obviously haven't experienced the love of a baby. whatever you dish out will be dished back to you. think about it
