Is it that we need to change the batteries more often or is the swing itself causing the batteries to start leaking. It is still new,we bought it last year for our son,we ended getting pregnant again shorlty after.Should we still use it or go get another one.It is a real nice one and actually hasnt been used that much.I dondt want anything to hurt my baby.We havent used it yet but just curious if its just the batteries tht need to be changed more often. Please help!

Did this happen with just one set of batteries, or do the batteries leak every time you put new ones in? If this is the case, it's unlikely that you have THAT many bad batteries...it's probably something in the swing causing it. I'd trash it (or call the manufacturer and explain it to them). Battery acid is bad stuff and could possibly kill your baby if she ingests it.

Change the batteries out and see if it works, make sure to clean out the battery insert place first though. Babies aren't in the swings very long at all 2 to 3 months.

More than likely the batteries. Change the batteries more often. If no one is using the swing regularly, take the batteries out. If you change the batteries and the swing works, go ahead and use it.

Sounds like the batteries. If it does it again see if there is a recall on the swing.
