I gave my son Baby's Bliss Gripe Water. I swore by that stuff! My son had a condition where his esophagus (sp?) didn't form right and a flap didn't close until he was 2...so, he couldn't keep anything down...from that and teething he cried all the time. I checked with his pediatrician at that time and she said it was a safe product. It says that it is for colic...but, I used it for teething pain also...my son would fall asleep within half an hour and wake up more calm than he was before I gave it to him. I would highly recommend this product! http://www.colichelp.com/shop/gripewater.html
There's the link for it...it is hard to find in stores...it's only sold in health food stores...GNC and Vitamin World do not carry it...it's mostly sold in organic health food stores.
Good Luck

Give him a piece of cloth that has set in the freezer for a little while. The coolness and consistency of the cloth might help sooth him.You may also want to call your doctor for some advice if he is really miserable.

have you tried alternating Tylenol with Motrin??? (I mean call your Dr first to see if it's OK)
soaking a washcloth in water and then putting it in the freezer will give him something cold and nubbly to nibble on!!!
keep those going - they might help a little, but it will stop pretty soon - and then there will be more
Sorry for your baby's PAIN, good luck with everything!!!!

Ice chips in a MUNCHKIN fresh food feeder (available at Target or WalMart). See the website. That's the one thing that helped my baby when she was teething REALLY bad.

well, my parents used whiskey, but you can probably get in trouble for that now....try something like oragel...or did you try freezing the teethers? a lot of times their gums itch, so you can gently rub a cold cloth on it....GOOD LUCK
