If you just leave your baby there for 1 week of course they will call in social services and you risk getting in big trouble. Not to mention that you need to think of the cost of a hospital stay, its not like a night in a hotel. You should also study up on patient rights, you can refuse any treatment for you or your baby at any time with no questions asked. They cannot force you to keep your child there. However working in the newborn field I would want my baby to be watched closely for atleast 24 hours!! :) linzirnob

Hmmm, I didn't want to leave my baby for Hawaii until about a month into the sleepless nights...thank God those early weeks go by fast, and they get so cute and smiley! So, what would happen you ask? I imagine Child Protective Services would come and take care of your little baby for you while your gone (and the rest of their lives!). I know you're only kidding with this sick joke, but it's funny reading everyone's serious replies to this. Made this mommy's day!

I'd wait until your baby is well or old enough to go with you because it seems rather selfish to go to Hawaii while your newborn is in the hospital. Besides, you can always try to get your money back from the airlines if given enough notice, not a guarantee but its a thought.

Do you have any data that the X-ray led to the genetic sickness? it would look no longer likely...genetic themes contain a flaw in all your genes. An X-ray might weaken his immune gadget or reason mutations in persons cells that could desire to reason maximum cancers. If the daddy or mom had X-rasys is might conceivably mess with the DNA of a sperm or egg. i will not be able to confirm how an X-ra might desire to reason SCIDS. in case you will get a doctor to circulate on checklist announcing that the X-ray shortened his life some counsel on the thank you to sue. remember however, no longer each and every errors ends up in injury, and not each and every affliction is somebody's fault.

I'm assuming this is a joke, and not even a funny one. It's not funny to think of someone abondoning their baby so they can go on vacation. Also, no mother in their right mind would want to go right after having a baby because they would still be sore.

Come on. Like you would be feeling like flying after giving birth anyway. You probably don't even have kids. Leave mommy's computer alone and go play outside like a good child.

Just leave the baby at the hospital. When you get back in a week the baby will be gone to an adoption agency and you'll be rid of your burden. Please don't have any more babies.

I hope you are kidding, because this is called child abandonment and you would return to find your child in foster care.
