My fiance and I have the same first and middle initial, E and M. When we marry we will have the same initials. I want some ideas for when we have kids one day. This doesnt mean they will have the same initials for sure, its just for fun to see what people say! (I know its silly, but fun - no need for opinions, im just curious about what's out there)

We are setting up our nursery using the Jungle theme, however we are now coming into difficulty as we need more ideas on what we can make or do to set it out. Thanks

My daughter is 7 months old. I have nursed her since birth & she has never taken a bottle (she wouldnt even take one of breastmilk!) As a result, I've had to be with my her all the time (never leave her for more than a couple of hours) She also nurses to sleep, so no one can get her to bed or down for a nap, but me. I am in school & I also work part time (believe it or not) despite having to always be home to nurse. Sometimes I really love the fact that I am nursing & am DEFINITELY committed to nursing her for a year or more. But, sometimes I just feel tired of it-wishing that I could leave her more and could get more of a break. I feel jealous of bottle feeding moms, that they can just leave their babies with friends, their hubby, or at daycare all day with NO problems. I just feel like nursing has been SO challenging-i continue to nurse because i know how good it is for my baby and because now she is very attached to it. Wondering if any moms have struggled with similar feelings?

We have three indoor cats, and they're going to stay indoors. We also have a dog who is out most of the time but is inside in the evenings. All four animals are friendly. We don't give our pets run of the house; we definitely won't let them in the baby's room, our room, or the kitchen. I'm mostly concerned with keeping the house clean enough to be safe for a baby. We aren't even pregnant yet, but we're thinking about it and want to be sure we're bringing a child into a healthy place! How clean is clean enough? Does anyone else out there have a baby and pets? Please tell me what problems you've had and what you did to solve them. We have a nice big house to work with, so hopefully that will help us because we want a baby but can't face kicking our pets out!

I have a 12 day old daughter and have been breastfeeding,
I have been to 3 "breastfeeding clinics" and the nurses said that she is latched on correctly.
There are some opinions that it shouldnt hurt if she is latched on correctly and some that say it hurts anyway,
In the experience of the mothers out there who breastfed, does it hurt either way?

Recently her appetite increased and it really hurts,... when is this pain going to end??????

someone suggested using one of these with my six month old to entertain her... BUT, how thick does the trim of the doorway have to be for it to be safe? only the entry to the hall from the living room has this (don't know why!!!!) and it is not super thick... could someone that uses these give me a measurement or something if it says in your manual or you know for sure? or does it say on the packaging of the product in the store? thanks!

I dont have a home phone to call the doctor but I just walked into my babies room. She was down for a nap and when I went to go check on her she had her diaper opened and was eating her poop! I'm not sure how much she ate but I'm really worried because I don't know what could happen. Does anyone know anything about this?

Boy names need to start with a "G". Also, what do you think of the girl names Mallory or Laurel? Need middle names too.

I have a six month old daughter and she has an exersaucer and a walker, how long should I let her play so she doesn't get sick of them? It seems like she gets bored so easily anymore. I'm trying to get her out of the house more often but it's hot and we can't be outside all day - I'm a stay at home mom at the moment (her diad is away so I'm having to be two parents!) and I think she's having a little separation anxiety! I can't leave the room for even a second without her getting mad at me, even if I just go to throw something away! I tell her where I'm going and "I'll be right back!" and she still gets upset. But I have to clean and take care of things around the house! I spend plenty of time playing and interacting with her and I thought I gave her plenty of time to play by herself every day..? Have I let her be too clingy? What do I do to help this?

EPIDURAL! OR drugs ?

I mean come on women! Women before us did naturally and many times! yeah yeah Ive heard it all from why not, why should I feel any pain. Pain keeps you alert to what is going on around you , it makes sure you are here in the moment.
The pain is only for a short time. I'm not bashing women who have drugs during birth, im just so curious why women first say that. When I was having my first and the nurse who takes your info on what hostpital and insurance you use was asking epidural? I was like no natural. She was like dumbfounded, I was like do women not do natural anymore, she said hardly. Then when I had both my kids they would ask me if I wanted one, I was like NO stop trying to give me drugs. With my 2nd I was so calm and serene, one nursed asked me about getting epidural and my midwife came in and was like leave her alone, shes more relaxed than we are =).
I asked my ob how many women from their practice do natural, she said 5 percent ( big practice too

I have just found out that I am going to be a grandmother. My daughter's last name is Gold. I am going for the name to be Silver Ann Gold for a girl, but would like more choices to give to her. It will be her decision on her childs name. She is due in April. Its too early right now to tell if boy or girl. Any suggestions I would really appreciate. From a soon to be a Nana. Thanks.
