If you really have to go somewhere for like an appointment go for it. When my baby was like two months old I had an appointment and had to get on the bus with her and the bus was full. There were so many men in the front of the bus that didnt offer me a seat and when i finally got to the back this couple let me have theirs so now I pretty much refuse to take the bus now with my baby still being small...shes 4 months now. A week ago I had an appointment and my boyfrind, cousin, and best friend all had to work so I just called a taxi....its beat catching a bus. I didnt have to go very far and it cost me about 7 bucks to get there and 7 bucks to get back home. So if you dont have to go very far try calling a taxi. good luck

I have a stroller that folds up with one hand and is really compact, almost like an umbrella stroller but it reclines and has a basket underneath and a 5 point harness. It's made by combi. I recommend getting ond of those for those trips, or better yet get a sling. Then you don't have to worry about a stroller at all!

Buy an umbrella stroller. It's the smaller version and when you fold it, it kind of looks like an umbrella with wheels. You can even hang it on your arm if you're strong enough. If you have to, take the bus, I did many time with my boys being a single mother and all. But if you don't, ask a good friend for a ride. It'll be easier on you and you won't have to wait so long for the bus.

Get a lightweight stroller and fold it up. You will find places that don't have elevators or elevators that are out of service, subways (here in NY) where the rude men won't help, and a lot of other inaccessible places where you will have to pick up the baby and throw the stroller over your shoulder. I highly recommend the Combi Cosmo, I have been using it from week #2 (it reclines for infant use). Love it and it is super duper lightweight. In fact it has a carrying strap for your shoulder that doesn't come off of the stroller! It's permanent. Good luck!

Yup you can do it on the bus with a 10 week old some companies make you fold your stroller others dont. Personally my 9 moth old is 27 pounds and i cant carry him and a stroller so we only travel on the buses where u dont have to fold them up. I stay spending my last dime on cabs trying to get to the bart station. and people say baby bjorn yeah right with a 27 pounder lol

Can't you take the baby in a carrier instead? Well...just fold up the stroller and get on with baby, stroller, and carrier/carseat. Watch out coz baby might get the sniffles or something from bus people.

you can take the baby on the bus but have you thought about getting a carry pouch that you carry the baby on the front of you so that way you don't have to worry about the pram. but if you need the pram there are some nice people out there that will give you a hand getting the pram on and off the bus. good luck
