Do I feed more frequent during the daytime compare to night time? I am feeding him 4 ounces each feed now and he wakes every 3-3half hours for milk.

My son used to sleep in his own room in his crib until I went to Tenneessee when he was 3 months old. He had to sleep in the bed with me as there was no room to set up his basinet or anything. Since then he won't sleep in his crib. He has to be in bed with me to go to sleep. I've tried letting him fall asleep in bed and then moving him to his crib, but he wakes up every time. My husband says to just put him in his room, turn the monitor off, and let him cry himself to sleep. I really don't think that's the best way to go about it. I really want him out of my bed, so any suggestions are appreciated.

I am insured through my employer, who will not, under any circumstances (won't let me pay premiums), insure a newborn (maternity care is covered, but not newborn).
My husband's insurance at work will, but it costs $400 a month. Add that to an expected childcare bill of $600-$800. . . One of us would be working almost exclusively to insure and have someone else raise our baby! (Add $950 for rent, among other things. . . )
Has anyone been through anything like this? I'm sure we make too much to get any help with insurance through the state (I don't want to do that, really, even if we could).
It is absolute BS that it's easier financially to have a baby if you're working for minimum wage and get tax-payer money. :(
There must be a way to get reasonable insurance for an infant. . . a month of all those bills and we'd be living behind a Taco Bell.
Sigh

My mother-in law is convinced that my daughter needs to be started on solid foods because she thinks "the formula isn't satisfying her," but she's eating exactly the amount she's supposed to and she's gaining weight at the rate she's supposed to. I feed her on demand, so whenever she cries for food, I give it to her, and I stop feeding when she acts like she's done. It just happened that we were at my mother-in-law's house on a day when she wanted 2 oz meals every 2 hours for a while, and now she's convinced that she's not satisfied because "she only waited a couple of hours before wanting more." She's only 7 weeks old, which I think is way too early for solids, and based on the amount she's eating and her weight gain, she really doesn't need it. I've explained all this to my mother-in-law, and each time it seems like she accepts it, but then the next time I see her, she brings it up again. What can I do to get her to stop bugging me about it?

We try to put her in bed but she just screams and screams. Most babies scream themselves out after a few minutes but our little girls a fighter.
Obviously, a 9month old doesn't understand a spanking and barely understands "No", so what else is there? Is my daughter just spoiled or are all babies like this?

A lot of popular names these days seem to be really strange, or people change the spellings of names until they are so distorted that I am unsure how to pronounce half of them. I am not talking celebrity silly names like Apple but names that you have heard people calling their children in every day life.

My cousin has a 8 month old whose teeth are barely coming in. Instead of giving her water, juice made by gerber, or like 100% furit juice she gives her kool-aid. It's diluted and everything but my main concerns is the sugar in it that can ruin her teeth. Do you give your baby kool-aid? If not, what?

I know I'm not supposed to use baby powder because it can get in her lungs, but the cream says not to put it on until her skin is dry, and that seems to take a really long time with just air-drying, and meanwhile I have a baby with no diaper on (which is kind of like a ticking time bomb.) Is there anything safe I can use to speed up the process? Or can I put the cream on when it's still just slightly damp?

I have tried cereal, carrots, sweet potatoes, applesauce, bananas and small bits of bread and she will not eat any food. She cries and will only take the bottle.
