I absolutely do NOT allow strangers nor most people to touch my baby in any manner.
I was once at the pharmacy and I sat down to wait? The woman behind me stepped up to the counter and I overheard her ask if she could get the pharmacist to tell her if HIV was contagious to her grand kids?
While she waited she reached over to touch my daughters face in a "pinching the cheek" motion? I flew off my chair and put both my hands up between my babies face and the woman's hands and said " did you just not ask the pharmacist if HIV was contagious to YOUR grand kids? DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY BABY!" She simply stepped away.
More than once I have stopped, verbally told people do NOT touch my baby.
I do not care how THEY feel about my response!
I would never let it go! Keep your germy nasty hands to yourself!

I've always been stopped by people talking to my babies, complimenting, or wanting to see them. Some have touched their hands or face, but I realize not everyone is a predator. Most usually only smile and talk to them. No, I don't say anything because I see they are just being nice and it's in a public place always.

Hasn't happened yet, but she is only 2 weeks though. I would be a little ticked off if someone did that. But it wouldnt really solve anything to yell at them cause it is just a stranger, it's not like you are ever going to see that person again so what's the point really? If you knew the person then you should reprimand them because you would not want them to do it again.

I wouldn't say anything because disinfectant wipes is my sidekick. I use them very often. Even when someone touches my child's hands i break 'em out and start the process of disinfecting. So when that happens I would politely give them a look and start wiping my child's face in front of them to let them see that was not a bright idea. And with a smile say thanx for the compliments she gets it from her pretty momma or he gets it from his handsome daddy.

I don't like the situation like that with my baby girl. Especially when somebody say smth like "Look at her, she's so cute" and the same time tries to lift her up or touch my baby's face. Maybe I'm acting mean at that moment, but I never let the stranger touch her and ask if he/she washed her hands. I really get mad at moments like that.

Yes they have, and I have never taken offense by it. I say "thank you" as it is nice to hear a compliment. Another thing that has happened quite a bit: My nephew has red hair, and strangers used to reach over and rub it for luck, as is a custom in some countries.

My baby isn't here yet but if a stranger does touch his face, I would clean his face. People just get amazed when they see babies. They are so precious.

i'd not in any respect contact a strangers baby - everywhere...incredibly with out the verify's permission- this is purely nervy! This has happened to me extra cases than I care to keep in recommendations, and it no longer in straight forward words grosses me out (shall we face it, a number of those each individual is purely straight forward gross, now to not teach the germs) it also ticks me off that they purely assume this is alright to attain this! If I presented my daughter to a keep with a buggy, I kept her in her carseat, and pulled the colour excess of her so in straight forward words i might want to work out and call, or i'd placed a mild-weight blanket on excellent. human beings would genuinely come over to the buggy when we were stopped and convey up up the colour/blanket to work out what she looked like and examine out to the contact. i'd clarify that I had a preemie, and her immune device wasn't completely shaped, so that they needed to step off earlier loosing a finger (properly, extra with politeness than that, for sure) I once had an older lady furnish to carry her even as I looked at outfits. She guaranteed me she will be sitting in straight forward words some ft away. i could not believe my ears!! besides the actual incontrovertible reality that i'm certain she became possibility free, i don't think of SO! yet another lady those days kept commenting on how amazing my daughter became, and everywhere I shopped contained in the keep, we may 'run' in to her. She finally instructed me how she'd like to have this kind of alluring little lady, etc. cases like it really is even as it receives creepy! Now that she's many years older, i detect that this is worse - incredibly the older crowd! each individual needs her to shake their hand or supply them '5', etc, or they purely ought to pinch her cheeks or supply a pat on the arm/back. i do not recommendations it as a lot in recent times, as she'll tell them NO flat out if she would not favor to the contact them, so as that enables. yet...for the cases that she does, I continually keep Purell in my bag and performance her on the instantaneous wash her fingers after. Too many cases she's stuck 'THE VIRUS' from her contact with those strangers who propose properly. it type of feels to assist.

Yes it has happened and it drives me insane! I think it is completely rude and thoughtless. Who knows what kind of germs these people are carrying. I have let it go twice now, but if it happens again, I am going to politely say, please don't touch the baby.
