Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 October 2007

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I have started to find that I am finding it very hard to get aroused or have normal sensation "down there". At first I thought I might have some sort of infection but I don't seem to have any other symptoms, has anyone had this and does it go away after the pregnancy. I am too embarrassed to ask anyone about it and dread the thought that I might have to talk to the doctor or something. I am sorry if this question seems very personal or offensive.

well, I test on saturday and was negative, I guess was not my month.... all the cramps I think are due to something that made me sick, I fell like throwing up, but I do not think is [pregnancy is just something that I ate... :( Next time around, I may be lucky

i was never taught to have goals to aspire to and so when i learned to have them in middle school my life improved a lot

im still pregnant but i was just wandering at what age can you start giving them goals and teach them the concept of goals

My baby is 8 months old now. She is on carnation good start soy formula. I started her on baby cereal at 4 months, and at 6 months I first tried giving her pudding. She broke out with a rash. At 7 months we tried cottage cheese, again a rash. I tried once again with stage 3 lasagnia, a rash again. I have concluded that my baby cannot have milk. So what can I give her to substitute so that she isn't losing out on her calcium and the added fat in milk?

So now she throws all her food off her highchair.

She is ten months, nearly eleven and since solids started at 29 weeks, hasn't ever used a spoon to eat, just feeds herself table food with her fingers. Only now she's learned to throw she throws her food onto the floor! For fun!

She doesn't seem hungry and like I say I've never fed her or forced her to eat, but she's wasting a lot of food! I can't afford for her to be throwing strips of chicken, avocado etc, on the floor for the dog!!!

Any ideas as to how I can get her back to eating what I give her? She is still having 4-5 milk feeds a day so won't be lacking nutrition. Thanks.

I am a live in nanny for five boys ages 8-14.
One is handicapt- I have to dress, change diaper, everything for him.
I have to do their laundry and clean up after them also.
Three days a week I have to pick up one of the boys at school.
Two days a week (at least) I have to take one to football.
There grandma helps out some.
How much should I be getting paid a week?

My 4 yr old son attends his nursery 5 afternoons a week, he spends every morning with me and the weekends, I am a single mother. For about 6 months now he has been coming home and demanding that we call him by another childs name and that we all adopt the names of the minders at the nursery when i refuse it leads to tantrums. It is driving me nuts being called Maxine and having to call my son Callum which is not his name! Is this obsesive behaviour and how can I stop it!?

My cousins little boy is called Jay but he is about 3/4 years old and I have only seen him a couple of times. Do you think it would be ok if i name my little boy Jayden? I dont plan on shortening it to Jay. Or do you think its too similar and I should choose something different even though I don't see him much?

I am 38 weeks pregnant and when I went for an ultrasound last
Thursday, I was told that my amniotic fluid was on the low side of normal. I was told to drink a lot of water and return in 7 - 10 days for another ultrasound. So I have been drinking alot of water and urinating like crazy. Recently I have noticed what feels like urine leaking. When I sit down and get up and walk around I can feel it on my leg. I have had to change my panties like 5 times a day. I am now worried that I could be leaking amniotic fluid. What should I do? What precedure do they use at the hospital to see if it is amniotic fluid or urine. This is so embarrasing.

have any of you had problems with people shortening your childs name when you dont want them to? did you confront them or do you accept it? I like the names Tomas and Alexander but don't like them shortened to Tom and Alex. How can you stop people shortening them, or cant you?
