Im having twins what do you think about the names Tucker Jude for the boy and Lily Evan for the girl?

just had a baby and was told that i would be losing hair as a result. i didn't think i would lose so much on a daily basis. is there anything that can be done to prevent or at least lessen the amount???

With all the violence in it and sexual innuendo, it's not the entertainment I grew up with, watching Wahoo and Andre the Giant. Is it wrong for me to keep my 12 year old daughter from watching it? I adopted her and she used to watch it all the time. I have since discovered that she is emotionally disturbed and is on medication for now. I have since decided to ban all shows that have a lot of violence in them. I think wrestling shows are too graphic and the language is not so good either. What do you say?

Please, I don't want to be confused with more "opinions". I want experienced people who know first hand. I need 'word of mouth' sort of speak, not your values or hearsay.

Sorry to be blunt, but I just want to hear from other parents:

Can someone give me as experience you had with medicating your ADHD child with ritalin in the LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, good or bad.

Info: 10 year old girl with lack of organization, and fidgity. She gets headaches and is too talkative in school. Dr. said ADHD. Might be, should I medicate?

Thanks for sharing any experience, I just want my girl to be sucessful, and a little less miserable.

but I am not so sure. I don't remember even being CLOSE to this tired during the beginning of my pregnancy with my daughter! I am 9 weeks and 5 days and I feel like I could fall asleep standing up at work. I am getting tired of co workers asking all the time "what is wrong" or "why are you so tired"! Then other co workers telling me to "lose the attitude" when i get mad at them for asking me for the FIFTYTH time "what is wrong" or "why are you so tired".

Doc said my blood work was normal and it just means my hormones are out of whack like they should be and to enjoy it as a sign of a healthy pregnancy so far (I miscarried in Feb).

cloth diapers or disposables?? which is the better of the two?

i have a 2 year old and 10 month old. i have another baby on the way. i've been using huggies disposables since my first born. and its been bloody expensive. my parents have suggested cloth diapers to me for the longest time. i'm actually considering it now.

if i were to start with cloth diapers, what kinds am i looking for? easy to use and easy to wash?

I LOVE my children the same. They are 7 years old and infant. I adore them both. But my daughter is so FULL of drama and is SO socially minded. I am a homebody and value 'easy' relationships. My son is 8 days old and I didn't realize until now, just how high matainence my daughter is. I adore my daughter, she is the apple of my eye and we are VERY close. But with my son, who is a newborn, I just feel relaxed. My mom says that he is the same 'type' of baby that I was... just calm and relaxed.... My daughter just came out screaming and has been demanding since day one.. everything was so dramatic, from her newborn bathes, to crying until she couldn't breathe... I love them the same. I adore them both.. but I feel more calm around my son, like we are 'soul matches'... does this make sense? Or is this just hormonesf from pregnancy and labor left over?

my sister has a 4 month old baby, she feels she can't breastfeed because her nipples are inverted. so my mother never hates the idea of baby formula so she came up with this idea that i share my own breastmilk when i finally give birth.

i have no problem with it, because my sister's baby is just like my own. i can use a breast pump and she can feed her little guy with the bottle.

does anybody think this is weird?

I'm 15, and I can't stand living with my family. My parents treat me like a 10 year old, and I'm smarter than they think I am. They don't understand me, or my fits or my moods. I'm quiet by nature, and my mom keeps pestering me to talk or cheer up, I hate it. My little sister is annoying too, and always tells my mom when I holler, have a fit, etc. How do I make them understand me and that they can trust me for the next three years I have to live with them?

I just found out that I'm pregnant by a man I now know is a criminal. He was arrested couple weeks ago for burglary. Turns out he has a history of this type of lifestyle and will most likely be in prison for the next several years, his trial date is July 6 and we find out then what his sentence will be. What would you do if you found this out? Would it be best to have an abortion in this case? My daughters father is denying her. We had the test done last week so were still waiting on the results. (he was the only guy i was with so he is the father) He basicly could care less about her at this point. She was in the hospital last week and he refused to see her. He even through the pictures i gave him out the car window.
His fiance had a talk with him and told him how unfair he was being and if he wanted to make things work with her he will have to do right by my daughter. He kept saying " know i know" So she called me wed and asked if they could have the baby today. I hesitantly said ok. She said he really didnt want to hold her. He wasnt mean to her but he really didnt have anything to do with her. She was the one who took her around all day and showed her off.
She said its gonna take him awhile to get used to it but then on the other hand she said he gets attached to babys real quick.
Should i let her keep going over or should i wait until daddy has test results in hand?

Okay, so I had asked before if anyone was addicted to the smell of pine sol while pregnant, not knowing that the addiction to the smell only gets worse! I have actually poured it into a spray bottle so that I can spray it into the air to smell it and find myself sniffing the bottle at least once or twice a day. It's embarassing!! Is this harmful to the fetus? Does anyone else have this problem or a problem with cleaning products? I am currently 37.5 weeks pregnant - can't wait to be done so I don't have this problem anymore!!

My daughter wakes up 4 or 5 times a night on a regular basis. She comes into my room and calls me, then i get up, and lead her back to bed. if I leave, she pitches a fit! I can't have her wake the entire house at 3am. I have a 5 yr. old who is sleeping! I don't know what to do. It isn't hunger or teething. She just wants company. She can't seem to fall asleep without me in the room! After she notices an hr. later that I'm gone, she comes in again! If my husband goes in, she goes bananas. I'm losing my mind! Any suggestions? Please comments from experienced mom and dads with sincere help!
