Just to let you know, Samara is the really scary girl from "The Ring" movies. I would recommend NOT naming your child that. Tamara would be good, also Samantha.

Never heard of it, but I kind of like it. I wouldn't worry about the movie. I did not even know about the movie. Besides, we have plenty of kids named Carrie and Chuckie who don't get teased.
If you're really worried about the movie, maybe she could name the baby Samira (sa MEER ah)
