Actually, this has been the norm for centuries. Wealthier women often had "wet nurses" who were basically poor women who breastfed the wealthy babies. If you are healthy, I see no problem with doing this. However, be sure to tell your sister that women with inverted nipples CAN breastfeed. They make special devices designed to coax the nipples outward to make feeding possible and more comfortable.

Actually, I just saw a program on the Discovery Health channel about two midwives who run a clinic. They are huge proponents of breastfeeding, and even have a program for mothers who overproduce to share their breast milk with other women who are underproducing. So you are not weird for thinking of sharing your breast milk with your nephew.
Before that, though, your sister should ask for help from a lactation consultant. There are several options, including nipple shields, for women with inverted nipples. If her son still can't latch on, then she could pump and bottle-feed.
By the way, how close are you to delivering? Once you deliver, it will still take a while for your mild supply to become established.
As for "is this weird", since you are talking about your own nephew, I would say go for it and good luck.

No problem with that at all. There's no problem sharing milk with unrelated babies, either. Women used to nurse each others babies all the time, and in some parts of the world, it's still common.
Women with inverted nipples can breastfeed. It sounds like you know that, I just wanted to throw it out there.

This is not unusual, and it's a good idea.
Take good care of yourself and eat well. Just don't wear yourself out.
Also, after months of formula feeding, it will be an adjustment for the baby to have breast milk. It will be a fairly significant difference for the baby, so make sure you transition gently.

I think its wonderful. I don't think you should latch him on to your breast, because he has a mother and he will naturally look to you as his provider. This is a bond that the mother needs. Your breast milk is the best and you can give his something to last a lifetime.
By the way has she tried everything? there are things out there made just for mothers with inverted nipples.
Good luck more power to you and Congrats to the both of you.

It's not weird, in The Red Tent (one of my favorite books), there were two sisters, they both gave birth around the same time. The younger sister was weaker from the birth, so the older sister breastfeed her baby for a while. It's not unusual.

i think its unconventional in OUR society, but i don't think its weird. a lot of societies do that-- b/c they sort of believe in the "it takes a village to raise a child" theory, where on the other hand we typically believe in individualism... but i can't help but wonder if your body will be able to produce enough milk for both babies... also, there are adapters to help women w/ inverted nipples... however, if that is what you want to do i think its admirable. BUT if it doesn't work, make sure your sister doesn't feel guilty!!! that's important for women to remmeber that they are no less of mothers b/c it doesn't work out. ur a great sis (and aunt!)

i did no longer examine the object, yet have heard approximately breast milk sharing till now and that i does no longer do it. you do no longer comprehend what the different mom is ingesting, eating or doing, you do no longer comprehend if she might have placed some thing in that breast milk, plus it purely sort of grosses me out.

No it's not weird. I have heard of other moms even nursing babies they were babysitting because the mom didnt want baby to get too used to bottles or whatever. Also, if you make lots extra, you can donate it to the NICU, breastmilk really helps save those premie babies.

No. It's done frequently in the Middle East, and I nursed my niece for a weekend when her mom got itchy feet and split without leaving the baby formula or diapers.
