Alright, so my fiance is very picky about what to name our baby boy. He has stated a dozen times that he likes the names Diego and Zack. Those are his choices. I really LOVE the name Sebastien. But since he is picky, I doubt that he will go for it. I was thinking about a comprimise of

Sebastien Diego

What do you think? Since my fiance is very picky, I have yet to talk with him about this. How do I approach him? I would really, really love for our baby to be named Sebastien as a first name. I think it's a very adorable name. Any advice on how to go about this? Thank you in advance.

There is a children's story about a lion that was roaring and he had a thorn in his paw, but because he wouldn't be still, the thorn kept getting pressed deeper in his paw. I think a mouse finally got him to calm down and the moust pulled it out. I am looking for the name of this book so that I can buy it for someone as a gift.

I have been a single dad for 3 years. My now 11 year old daughter is the only child in her grade from a single family home. She has been on me all year about how we need a step mom. I work a lot, commute a ways and still am no where near ready to date seriously. What is a good way to make her feel like being from a single parent home does not make her a freak. When in her school it does make her different.

My daughter who has been breastfed for 8 mos just began drinking Good Start soy formula last week. The last couple of days she has had a small diaper rash but today it is REALLY BAD! I've been changing her often and putting clear desitin and a + d zinc oxide ointment on her at every diaper change and I took her diaper off and let her butt dry but its all over her down there. What else can I do and is this from her formula???

Do I need to switch it and if I do should I just switch it all at once or will switching it make it worse? Please help me shes in a lot of pain and I will take her to the doc tomorrow but tonight she needs relief and I need answers.

have encountered many dogs off their leashes either running towards the stroller, trying to jump in,just sniffing around and barking. How to handle this? I know to try to remain calm and firm but when they come so fast,my 1st reaction is to sheild my daughter with my body. I now carry a stick but am afraid that if I strike a dog (must be a threat to do that) that it will anger them to attack further. Should I get pepper spray? Will that have the same effect? Where do I get pepper spray? We've had some scary incidences and have changed our pattern several times but it doesn't matter where we walk. I don't want to stop walking all together, just want to be prepared to defend us in the right manner.

I husband works second shift, meaning he is gone from 3:30pm until 2:30am, so my 2 1/2 year old daughter and I are home for dinner alone. I get her those gerber lil' entrees and gerber soups, she loves them. She loves cooked veggies, but I don't wanna cook a meal for just me and her. what are some good meals for her dinner? I normally don't eat a big meal. I eat a microwave healthy choice meal most of the time.

I realize this sounds strange but my 4 year old cut his own hair about a month ago. I didn't freak out becuase well it was his hair. But this morning before my husband and I woke up (somewhere around 5:45) my son cut my 3 year old daughter's bangs off. She literally has about a half inch of her bangs left. I have punished him. I dont need to be scolded about not watching them. I had no idea they were up! How can I hide her missing chunk of hair? She looked in the mirror and cried this afternoon... she loves her long hair.

we had my boyfriends 2yo daughter with us for 3 wks. she didn't have a solid poop the whole time. it was mostly soft/runny. not to be gross but shouldn't she have solid poops at that age. i've never been around kids that age full time so i'm new to this stuff.
i worried she might have a food allergy that is undiscovered.

Im just a nervous wreck...?

Well from my other post my girlfriend of 4 years is pregnant. I am standing by her and we will get through this. We have a plan already talked it over with my parents its going to be okay.

I am nervous about the health of my gf, Tara. She has been suffering alot of medical stuff lately for the past year, there was a car accident, surgeries due her dancing, and many others.
She has become very clingy to me because there is no one else she has, we do live together with my parents. I soon have to start working again and leave her home, she says she'll be ok but i am a nervous wreck. If she stops breathing again, if something happens and no one is there, I am just so scared, her friends are very bad influences on her they go drinking until 2 and other out of line things. How can I stop worrying about her?

She has also been very sick lately; doctors are aware but that also makes me nervous if something happens with the baby.. all these thoughts! Whyy!?

about everything. I have tried just about everything to try and make her stop. Talking about the problem, paying more attention to her, trying to explain that it is hard to talk to her when she behaves like that, time outs, taking things away, to spanking. She is really starting to get on my last nerve. Has anyone been through this? Is it just a phase? Or does anyone have any other suggestions on how to handle this behavior.
