Alright, so my fiance is very picky about what to name our baby boy. He has stated a dozen times that he likes the names Diego and Zack. Those are his choices. I really LOVE the name Sebastien. But since he is picky, I doubt that he will go for it. I was thinking about a comprimise of
Sebastien Diego
What do you think? Since my fiance is very picky, I have yet to talk with him about this. How do I approach him? I would really, really love for our baby to be named Sebastien as a first name. I think it's a very adorable name. Any advice on how to go about this? Thank you in advance.

Everytime I try to talk to him about other names, he doesn't want to talk about them at all. Shouldn't HE being the one trying to comprimise too? This should be a joint decision, not just his. It's really making me feel left out :(

I AM NOT picking anything like Joey, Tyler, Jimmyjobob, NONE of those. I don't like those names. They are way too common. Sorry to burst your happy bubble. If you have a suggestion, at least try to suggest something unique.

I actually like Sebastien Diego!
He needs to compromise too its also your baby. Tell him your willing to so use Diego as a middle name, if hes willing to compromise with you on the first name. Well I hope that helps!!!!

I think the best choice out of the 3 is Zack. I agree with you, I think Sebastien is a good name for a boy. You should tell your fiance to not leave you out and name the baby Sabestien. If you want to compromise, I would name the baby Zachary Sebastien. Sebastien Zachary doesnt flow as well.

I absolutely think your fiance should be willing to compromise with you about this. This child belongs to both of you and you need to be willing to work together on things. If you can't work out what his name will be, how in the world to you expect to work through the bigger issues like curfews and girlfriends???
btw I love the two names. how about Diego Sebastien? Zach Sebastien? Sebastien Zachary? work with each other bounce ideas off each other. I'm sure you can come to an agreement. Have an honest conversation to him and explain that you think it should be a compromise. You guys can work this out; just be patient. Oh and CONGRATS!!!

How about Zachary Sebastien............
You could always say to him talk to me now or you won't be there when I fill out the paper work for the birth certificate. The ball is in your court actually! Mom has all the power while in the hospital.

YOU are going to carry this baby for nine months and go through labor to give birth. YOU should get the final say about the kid's name. Sebastien Diego is great. Go for it.

I am with u I like the name sebastien diego I don't like the name zack . just tell him what you think in a very polite manner that you like the names together and not alone. I also think your still trying to compromise with him .

I agree with you. I think you have the right to pick his first name or middle name. I have 2 middle names Greywolf-Emerson and they are pick by each of my parents. Greywolf is given by my dad's best friend who is a Cherokee Indian and Emerson is named after my mom's dead best friend who died in a car accident. So my name is Merrick Greywolf-Emerson Li. I think you should slap some sense into him, woman! Slap him silly for me girl friend! You go girl!

The boy has to wear this name all his life...are you guys thinking of your SON's feelings? Or yours?...When I named my son, I gave him a name that could grace an attorney's office, or a judge...or the President, for that matter....Why don't you guys take a deep breath, and think of something that will suit your child, and make him a success in life! Diego sounds like a bandit,..Zack or sebastian,...kinda okay,...but trendy...I am old and I guess I just like names that are going to be extinct by the time your boy grows up...Clark,..Robert,..John, Joseph..you know, names that don't have to be different...just something that suits a Grand Boy!!!...well, believe it or not, by the time little zack, diego, or sebastian grows up, the names John,..Robert, William will be extinct...I wasn't trying to insult you,..I just think that today, parents don't really think of the repercussions of the names they give their children...I am sure you'll pick the right name
