I was at the store the other day with a friend and our kids when we ran into this man my friend and her husband hang out with. I know this guy, but don't hang out with him or anything. When I had stepped away he took my friend aside and told her that my daughter is going to "be hot" in a few years. My friend didn't think it was a big deal, but I thought it was creepy and if I had heard I think I would have gotten mad and said something to the man. My daughter is only 7 years old, and people will tell me she's adorable or pretty, but I've never had anyone say that she's going to be hot. Was this wrong of that man to say or am I overreacting?

OK my question is what if someone donated eggs and they went to more than one couple, which i am betting they do. OK, what happens in 20yrs, when the children go out and start a family of their own, and they mate/married their brother or sister simply because they didn't know that they were related? I am wondering if anyone took that into consideration?

I am 19 years old college junior and am 11 weeks pregnant. My 21 year old boyfriend and i have decided to carry the pregnancy to term. I am just wondering how less fortunate parents make ends meet? We have accumulated a large amount of debt in student loans and car loans and as it is we are barely getting by. Other friends have estimated the average monthly cost of a baby as being $700/month, is that a fair estimate? Are there any particular resources available that could help us afford to pay our bills until either of us is able to get a job that pays better than $5-10/hr?

i hate my moms house, i dont wanna live wit her anymore. my dad just got a new house and i really like it and its in the same skool zone for my skool. his old house was in a whole diffrent skool district. of course my mom will not want me to move in with him, im her only girl and she like depends on me to wacth my younger brothers. but the reason i wanna move in wit my dad is cause whenever my mom is home all she is doing is yelling at me and blaming **** on me. she dosnt believe im depressed i bet if i told my dad about it he would actually care and believe me. how should i tell my mom i wanna move in wit my dad and how should i tell my dad i wanna move in wit him.

My baby's 9 months old and she has a good grip! She grabs toys, she puts them in and out of boxes, she pulls herself up with the furniture, etc... BUT... she doesn's seem interested in holding her bottle, which is OK by me, but my mother in law is like: "How come she doesn't hold her bottle? She SHOULD be able to do that..."
Is she right? Is it really so important for my baby to hold her bottle?

then how would you define my nephew?

I hear some people say that they dont consider it to be a baby until it takes a breath on its own soooo...

My nephew was born at only 18 weeks gestation. His eyes were still sealed, and his hands and feet were still webbed. He is now a totally normal and healthy 8 year old boy. Are you going to tell me that since he couldnt breathe without a machine for a while after birth, that he wasnt a real person? I personally find this mind set to be sad. Heck, I was a preemie too. Only 2 months early, but 21 years ago, that was bad. I couldnt breathe on my own either. At what point did I become a "real person"?!

This has been confusing me for weeks now. It's very fustrating. Every now and then i have dreams about being pregnant or giving birth. In some of these dreams i am very happy, overjoyed and protective of the baby. But in another dream i had twin boys and one died, i was completely devastated, even when i woke up! The thing is, i'm not scared of getting pregnant or giving birth and i don't want to get pregnant just yet. I don't know if it's my fiance's fault. I mentioned him stroking my belly in another question a while ago. He still does it. He mentions all kinds of little things about me having a baby as if he can't wait to be a dad. he always says things like " i wonder what your mom and dad will be like when you tell them" and " i'll never leave your side through the whole 9 months". I think it's really sweet, it gives me butterflies and it makes me blush. I've tried different websites about dreams but none of them seem to help me. Could any of you give me a good a good answer?

I am 25 and having real problem with vaginismus. My husband and I are not able to have sex and it is lasting for six years now. We were thinking to concieve via Home insemination (with syringe) which I can tolerate. Have some of you the same problem? What about gyneacologist examinations after that? Can doctors do it in any (more sensitive, less painful way)? Please, any help is very important for me. Thank you so much.

I know you have to wait until baby's first b'day, but how do you start offering the milk? I thought *may be* I can give her some milk at breakfast instead of formula (which is what she currently drinks) And see if she has some reaction, and if she doesn't then give her some more the next day, etc... Is this a good method?
Thank you!

I have a 2 1/2 year old son who loves to stay in the bath. I can't stay in all the time because I have a 4 month who needs me too. Is he to young to be left in the tub alone, as long as I go in there and check on him every so often.

First of all... Its not ME.

A friend of mine had toddler twin boys when she found out she was prego with triplets. Yikes! No fertility drugs either, she was on the depo shot. Anyway... some people were appalled, and said she should consider "selective abortion", and have one or two of the babies aborted to give the other(s) a better chance at survival since triplets are so high-risk. I was wondering what your opinion is on this. My friend is a wonderful mother, happily married, great career in biology and her hubby is a doc. Its not like they couldnt support the kids. Would you kill off one or more of your babies if you were prego with multiples AGAIN, to be "fair" to the other children?
