Forget saucepans and stove tops - put the bottle in a mug (or some sort of container that will hold it - we sometimes do Tupperware), turn on your faucet, and fill the mug with hot water. Easiest thing ever. To make the process go faster, keep the faucet on a little, letting the hot water continually reheat the mug water. For the room temperature nursery water that you use, this will probably take all of 2-4 minutes, depending on how hot your faucet water gets.

They say to never warm up breast milk in the microwave. I use a container of warm water and sit the milk bag/bottle in it...sometimes I continue to run warm tap water over it. When I was doing bottles more frequently at night, I did buy the First Years bottle warmer and it worked pretty well. As soon as my son is eating entire bottles of baby food I plan to use it for that as well.

You can either do it in a pan of water on the stove, or buy a bottle warmer. Since you use the drop ins, you can warm it in a bottle first, then pour it in there. NEVER microwave a bottle, or any other food for your child. Microwaves destroy all the nutrients and change the molucular structure of the food, making it carcinogenic (cancer-causing). YES, they HAVE proved that microwaves do that now, it was on 60 minutes. You would basically be giving your child empy calories and even putting their future health at risk. Its something to consider cutting out of your own food routine as well.

I warm bottles in a pot of water...just for a few minutes until warm...with the drop ins, I would guess that you could pour the prepared formula into a bowl and heat it that way, in a microwave. You should never warm breast milk though, it loses its nutrients.

Put the filled bottle in a pan of hot water. Test it on your wrist after a few minutes. Whatever you do, DON'T heat the bottle in a microwave. The milk can get scalding hot.

If you use warm temperature water for the bottles, then you don't need to heat up the milk.

We used to stand the filled bottle in a water bath ( a saucepan filled with hot water). Don't know if you can still do that with modern stuff though.
Remeber to test the milk on the inside of your wrist though, to make sure it is not too hot

if your baby is used to bottles be room temp then thats fine. I work in an infant room in a daycare and they use little crock pots. They work well. it only takes a few minutes to warm up.The only bad thing is you have to leave it on all day.
