I am 25 and having real problem with vaginismus. My husband and I are not able to have sex and it is lasting for six years now. We were thinking to concieve via Home insemination (with syringe) which I can tolerate. Have some of you the same problem? What about gyneacologist examinations after that? Can doctors do it in any (more sensitive, less painful way)? Please, any help is very important for me. Thank you so much.

Hi. First, I'm very sorry that you have this disorder. I know that it is very frustrating and often discouraging. I suffered with vaginismus for 9.5 LONG years.

To answer your question, yes - it's possible. I conceived my first baby with the help of a medicinal syringe that I purchased at the local drug store. Just be sure to find one that doesn't blow a lot of air. Blowing air into your uterus can kill you.

I was concerned about the internal exams too. Fortunately, most exams are external during pregnancy. My ob/gyn told me I wouldn't need an internal until week 37. When I showed up for the appointment shaking like a leaf, she assured me that I wouldn't require an internal as my pregnancy was normal. She also said that it's my body, and I don't have to have an internal if I don't want one.

Oh, and a note for when you are pregnant and in labor - get your epidural as quickly as possible, then whenever a medical person comes in the room, ask them to check your dilation. You won't feel it, and all those people poking around down there will stretch that cursed muscle.

Finally, in order to progress your overcoming the disorder, I recommend purchasing yourself a set of graduated dilators. You can get them on www.vaginismus.com (wish that website was around for me...) As much as one hates to admit it, you really have to be proactive in overcoming the disorder on your own.

Best of luck to you.

I used to do artificial insemination, years ago.
Its is a very simple procedure and you will not feel it.l
why have you not had surgery for your vaginismus, to change the message your nerves are sending to your brain.
Ask a specialist about it.
It can be corrected. And I do not know if you would be able to store the sperms under the right conditions, I would not wish you to insert and be conceived with a damaged sperm.
I would advise you to go to a fertility clinic, the insertion tube used is very tolerable.
All the best of success to you.

Im a fellow sufferer, managed in the end if you know what i mean!

I have no advice regarding getting pregnant as for some reason one night it just happened!

I will how ever tell you, just incase you were worried, that childbirth isnt nearly as bad as you can imagine! I was petrified knowing that there wasnt going to be a point were i could chicken out and say 'nope, not happening, forget it!'
Once things start going in childbirth its out of your hands and regardless of what your head is screaming, your body just sort of takes over and gets the job done.

Hope this helps in some round about way!

You can do the home insemionation but the air time the sperm gets really lowers fertility (kills the sperm). If you have been married 6 yrs, your doctor could do IUI (intrauterine insemination - doc deposits sperm in your uterus). Can you tolerate your annual pap? The exam is basically the same. Sorry, if I wasn't much help.

I would suggest seeing your doctor again about this, they may be able to put you intouch with a fertility doctor who may be able to assist you with having a family and treating the vaginismus. I wish you both luck.

provide me a wreck the male double standards kill me. You have been married until eventually now and he knew this previous. it is going to be a non situation or it is going to of been worked out earlier than marriage. It kills me whilst muslim adult adult males have intercourse until eventually now marriage and it is okay by using fact sooner or later they make certain they desire to be non secular and advance a beard. Then they choose others whilst needless to say they shouldn't. you probably did no longer something incorrect incredibly being a unknowing revert (besides you have been married). He become born a muslim and continually knew what he become doing become incorrect.
