Pregnancy & Parenting - 16 January 2007

I have 2 children, an 8 yr old son and 5 yr old daughter. Lately my son has been acting up & nothing we do seems to help. He's in 2nd grade but falling behind. We've had him tested for a LD and they said he is learning within the range of his IQ (which means he doesn't have a LD) but his IQ is pretty low for a child his age. It doesn't help that his 5 yr old sister has a high IQ and is catching up very quickly. Last week he handed me a spelling test with a 100% that was obviously not his but he changed the name to his own, he had stolen it from a classmate. 2 days ago, he stole some money from his g-ma, only change but it's the point. Today I was checking his math homework and saw the writing wasn't his and he had a friend at school do it. We have spanked, stood him in the corner, grounded, made him write sentences, talked, yelled....I'm at a loss! He just doesn't seem to learn that he is going to get caught (he's a bad liar). What can I do to get his attention? Therapy?

weve been together for like year and I never use condoms with her but I always gets lucky that she never gets pregnant? Is there any tendency that she really cant have children? Because since with her ex boyfriends too, she had sex w/ them but never gets pregnant...

im pregnant with my 3 and last child.i really tried to have a completely natural labor with my last one but unfortunetly didnt have the support i needed to get through it.my doctor was almost telling me i had to get an epidural!well i found a doc this time that is totally supportive and have a coach that will be of use to me.(my husband almost faints when im in labor!!lol)my question is what things worked for you to get through the pain?anything will be greatly appreciated!

Iron-On Transfers???
I'm trying to find a place where I can make my own iron-on transfer!! Does anyone know of a website or store in San Jose for this. I want a newborn tee saying

I'm 13 weeks pregnant. I thought I had to throw up but instead spit up like two spoons of blood. Doc thinks its a tear from retching but I havent had ANY morning sickness. Going to see her tomorrow but what could this be?

My girlfriend is about a week late on having her period she has been getting very sick at night but this morning she thew up I have asked her repeatdly if she was pregnant but she says no she has two daughters from her ex-husband and says that she never went through this kind of sickness and it's just a flu bug I told her every pregnancy is different but she won't her it am I right is there a possibality that she is pregnant

I was pregnate and lost my son at 19 weeks. I had to deliver him vaginaly. He would have been a year old next month and I think about him all the time. My husband is wanting to have another baby but I am so scared too. I do want one but I am afraid that I will go through what I did last time. He was to be my first child. We had a name that we really liked and all the stuff that we had bought for him. If we are to have another baby and it happens to be a boy would you use the same name or would you use a different name? Plus, how long did it take after your mis-carriage for you to have another baby?

My 20month old daughter has never been a fussy eater and her appetite has always been great to say the least. But for the lastmonth or so she has started to become really fussy about what she eats. She is not unwell at all. I just wondered if this is a phase that all toddlers go through because i'm getting fed up of making beans on toast for every meal.

I am 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Yesturday I was 2 cent. dilated and 90% efaced with the babys head where it should be, but haven't really had too many contractions. What is everyones opinion as to how long before the baby is born? Through what you really DO know or have experiened.

I took her to the doctor for a check up and showed it to the doctor. I said it had been there for over a week now. She said it was the corner of a tooth coming in crooked. But now, a few days later, the little soft and squooshy bump is still on her gum and is about twice as big! It looks like a white pimple with a pink dot in the middle. She does have 4 new teeth up top and they're all coming in at the same time. They looked nothing like this thing does. A tooth wouldn't sit there for a couple of weeks! It seriously looks like a pimple right where a front bottom tooth would come in. And it's very soft, you can literally push down on it and flatten it, then it pops right back up. Does this sound normal for teething to you???

I am a 25 year old female with PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have completed the highest levels of CLOMID with no results and now my dr wants to put me on Glucophage. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and I understand Glucophage and Clomid combined are more effective that Clomid alone and Glucophage can aid in loosing weight too. Please help me out ladies and share your stories. We have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years with one miscarriage a year ago and I feel like a failure to my husband because I can not provide him a family. Any insight would be greatful and appreciated. Thank you!

My doctor confirmed that I'm not pregnant so he put me on a fertility medicine called "Clomid" I've read up on it as much as possible but still so confused over it. I do not get regular periods, since I was 16 i have had maybe 2 a year, I had spotting on the week of 1/1/07 I took a 2 pack of the "clear blue easy digital hpt" 1 of the hpt's said "pregnant" the other said "not pregnant" the clinic also was negative (It was a dollar tree test)...should I just wait another week or so and try again? or should I just disregard the positive? I am going to 6 flags on the 28th so I want to know before then...
