To explain people, say they were in labor for 30 hours.. and some 5 hours... when do YOU being counting.. form the littel muscle contraction you have.. or from PAIN!/??

Last week, I got a reading assignment for a class. I get my reading done in study hall, so when my parents asked about what homework I had, I left it out because I always get it done within a day or two. Then my parents checked online where hw is listed, they found out I had reading, and they gave me a half-an-hour lecture about "expanding what I view as hw" or some ****. I was absent for two days, so my dad is having me make a list of my hw every couple of hours and is asking me about how much homework I have left every half-hour. THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! My parents have been treating me like I'm 9 forever, and now they're treating me more like a little kid now than when I was 6 (no exaggeration.... I didn't have to make a list when I was 6). What do I do? I'm almost 15 with straight A's btw.

I have been to the MD.. my period is a 28 day cycle like clock work usually.. last month it was 1 day.. i didn't think much of it.. now my hands are swollen, brest sore, nauseated at times but not always.. and about things that are really no big deal to me (as a nurse).. I am 32, divorced 3 kids and have been seeing a man for 10 months but we aren't super careful b/c my tubes are tied. Md said no way.. said amybe perimenopuse but did no blood work?? have any of you had this happen.. how did you ease the symptoms it is driving me crazy..I can't even wear some shoes or any rings and coffee is out of the question.. no! i did not have the syptoms whenI was pregnant these are all new to me.. hince the delima.. thanks in advance..

I had sex for the first time with my partner, on Jan 7 then again on the 9. However, also in the 9 i had some discharge of brownish/dark because obviously he broked my hymen (virginity). There was also pre-ejaculation in the process of the first time. Then on the 9 we also did it again, he tells me he "kind of came in me". But im not so sure. Yes, i know i can get pregnant from pre-eja.. Anyways now these past 2-3 days there has been a slimmy discharge of brownish light color. Im just worried, could i be pregnant. I have lower abdominal pain when i get up sometimes and feel nausiated I hope is nothing bad. What do you say sir?

I was just wondering if there were any other ways to find out if I'm pregnant without having to wait for the pregnancy test... because I had sex the day right after my period and i normally have a 40 day cycle. I really don't want to wait that long ...

I've already gone to my ob-gyn .... but she told me that I'd be fine... without testing me or anything O___O

Yes, this is driving me insane, but I just have to know whether or not I am pregnant. Any other ways to know I'm pregnant without the warnings that maybe psycho-somatic?

I'm new to being a birth doula, and will be attending my first birth sometime this month. I'm wondering what I should wear. I'd like to look professional and be comfortable at the same time. I was considering wearing scrubs, but I wonder if that would be too sterile-looking for the mom. Also, I don't want to be mistaken for a hospital staff person. Sweats seem too casual to me. Any advice? Doulas: what do you wear? Moms: what have your doulas worn, or what would you like to see them wear?

My freind had a baby 2 weeks ago. He was 1 month early but seemed very healthy but now, he is not gaining any weight. In fact even though he's getting enough milk exactly when he's supposed to, he's actually loosing wheight. Why can this happen. He's going to be hospitalized on Monday if he does'nt make any progress. Any body know the answer. Please help!

Im a young mother and this is my second baby. Another girl :) At 26 weeks i went to the hospital in pre~term labor. Turned out my cervix is already thining and i am 70% efaced. Does this mean my baby is coming early? Im on terb shots to stop the contractions and as of now on "restricted activity" aka mild bedrest. If my baby is born now, im 27 weeks, will she be ok? I hd preterm with my first daughter but with the ter pills i held her off till 5 days before her due date. Im worried b/c im already efaced that she will come early. Does anyone know anything bout how long it takes once your fully efaced? Is there even a time limit?

My sisters 17 she skips school a lot. Well she had the stomach virus 2 weeks ago...she only had it that morning it was gone that evening. When i went over there to see her that week she said that her periods are really irregular and she hadnt had one in 3 months then she said something about her boobs having knots in them and that she wanted me to feel the knots and im like ugh no..and shes like yeah i really think i have breast cancer or something.....well anyways my mom calls me this morning and tells me shes throwing up again. I get on the phone with my sister and im like how you feel and shes like im fine im just really nausated...anyways my mom says its cause she eats too much fast food or too much salt intake...but my sister blew up at her and was like yeah mom maybe its the fast food maybe im pregnnat maybe its just the salt intake who knows and walked out...well when i asked her about her period again she said it was non of my business...i really dont know what to think?

I am in the 2 week wait 6 days post Ovulation and tonight want to have a nice relaxing bath but am worried that heating my body up may stop any thing happening ! What is your advice and has any one heard that hot baths can be harmful at this time ?

Ok, I made a mistake. Sometimes I forget to tell my mom where I am, and forget to turn on my cell phone. This happened again yesterday and my mom got worried. I apologized, she wasn't mad, treated me with much love but said today I'd stay home just to think. In the morning instead of going out I did some chores in the kitchen a sweet apron, lol. Then I told mom I'm a good girl, I don't get in troubles, I didn't do anything bad. She agreed, even said I'm a very good daughter, she loves me, she knows I didn't do anything bad but I need to think and today I'm grounded. She gave me a lot of kisses, but said, no Hun, today grounded jus for you to think. I can watch TV, access the net, but can't go out. Of course I'll obey, my mom is great, but why punish me if I just made a mistake and won't do again? I didn't hurt my mom, just made a mistake, like everybody.
