some friends of ours had their baby about a month before we had our little guy.
their son has always seemed healthy and he is about 4-5 months old, now.
they just had to take him to the hospital for a broken arm b/c dad said that he was holding him on the couch and moved him and his arm got caught and broke.

i know babies aren't as fagile as we think they are, but does this sound plausible?? i mean, if my son's arm was caught i'm pretty sure i would realize it before i put enough force upon it to break it.

just curious about any input....
i guess that CPS is now accusing him of child abuse and he claims it was an accident.

If you know that the baby has a clean diaper, is not sick, is full, feels fine, etc. but you are trying to get them on a schedule how long do you let them cry. I just put my daughter down for her first nap by herself and she has been crying for about 10 minutes. I know she is fine it's just she is so used to us holding her all of the time. No personal attacks please. Just looking for good info.

I know that you are not supposed to mess with cat feces or clean up a litter box, but how about a puppy or dog??? I have a little chihuahua puppy and I have to clean up his pen. Of course I always wash afterwards but I was just wondering if there are any risks? Also, what is a good safe face wash to use while your pregnant? (I go to my Dr. next Tuesday and I will ask him this also) but I need some info till then. Thanks!!!

I primarily always answer pregnancy questions that's why I am asking you guys this.....How can one of your answers get deleted by someone other than yourself? I answered a question this morning and then when I signed on this afternoon, it said I had lost 12 points. I was like....what the heck, so I go to that question I had answered and poof.....my answer had been deleted. I hadn't used in bad language or said anything derogitory...I had only pointed out that the person asking the question seemed to be making stuff up based on their previous questions that I had looked at.

Anyone else had this happen?

well late in my pregnancy i started getting veins showing up on my breasts, mostly from the nipple outward. its only gotten worse since i had my baby three weeks ago. i would assume that it is a result of breastfeeding and having small breasts pre-pregnancy, so they are stretching and everything...is there a way to reduce the showing of the veins and some minimal stretchmarks or are these here to stay? thanks in advance for your help :)

I just found out I am pregnant yesterday morning. This is my first pregnancy and I am very nervous about losing the baby. When did your fear of miscarrying disapear? What can I do to calm my nerves??

Im 17 weeks pregnant, my doctor just called me and told me my HCG level is higher that normal. He says that later in pregnancy there is a chance my placenta could stop working and my baby could be born smaller than normal. Has anyone gone through this before and what was the outcome?

if i could be preg. I just had my period on the 17th but my breast are sore, their not sroe to wear you cry in the shower when the water hits them (like my sisters) but their real sensitive to touch. im real tired and i dont want to talk to ne one...and just wanna sleep during the day, but i cant sleep at all during the night!.. im not like OMG AM I PREG... i just want some info... i went to the dr today, i'm one week overdue. i'm 1 cm dilated and i was just wondering if anyone knows if theres an avg amount of time it takes before labor starts once you've began dilating. i know every women is different, so it varies, but is there an average time? or how long has it taken in your experience? he said if i dont go into labor by monday, to come back in and we'll talk about inducing then. i've had contractions, some strong, but mostly mild-moderate, and they arent regular really yet.

My Ent said for me to consider removing my sons adenoids. He has had problems since his birth. He has been very congested since 6 weeks old and has been thru more tests then i can imagine for a baby. He also had a staff infection in his nose afer an ENt did a scope and found puss.He is always on antibotics and has chronic sinus infections and as soon as he starts with a cold after a couple of days green mucus starts to come out and even comes out of his eyes, and then were off to the doctors with another antibotic. He is always sick and has had everything from RSV to pneumonia and croop and he is only 2 1/2, every winter must be on a nebulizer to help his breathing and congestion. So I was wondering if anyone has had the same story and if they removed there sons adenoids and what was the results from it and if it helped him in the long run. Did the the child still got sick as much and did it help with the congestion and his breathing. I need some help what to do.

I am supportive and happy for her..I am throwing her a huge baby shower this month. But I am jealous because I want children so so badly but I don't know if it's possible b/c of some health issues. It started when she was an infant, she would run random fevers and then she also got Roseola. Recently, she had a strange stomach problem and then was diagnosed with a Staph Infection. Today I noticed that her hands are peeling and not in a dry skin kind of way. I've discussed my concerns with our Ped., but he simply passes everything off as nothing. I'm beginning to worry that she might have something else wrong with her causing all of the mysterious illnesses. Can anyone help me figure out what might be going on and what kind of tests I can force her Ped to do on her. Thanks!
