well late in my pregnancy i started getting veins showing up on my breasts, mostly from the nipple outward. its only gotten worse since i had my baby three weeks ago. i would assume that it is a result of breastfeeding and having small breasts pre-pregnancy, so they are stretching and everything...is there a way to reduce the showing of the veins and some minimal stretchmarks or are these here to stay? thanks in advance for your help :)

well, you are correct the veins are due to breast feeding... i suggest you pump regularly and feed the baby when he/she is hungry... you can use a warm wash rag and massage your breats in a circular motion... when you stop breast feeding these veins will go away... every pregnant woman gets them it isnt due to having small breats... you can also use a small amount of warm to hot (not to hot where it's burning you) in a ziploc bag and sit it on your chest... good luck.. i am 5 months and on my second child and wondered the same things with my first... this is totally normal... as for the stretch marks use palmers stretch mark cream as often as you feel nessessary... when i get out of the shower and i am still wet, before i dry up with my towel, i take a little baby iol and i rub it on my belly and breasts... i don't have any marks from my first pregnacy and this is what i did throughout the whole thing and after... good luck i hope it works...

Stretchmarks are the roadmaps of life... and unfortunately they will be there for life. You can try rubbing cocoa butter on them daily and they also make specific creams for breastfeeding moms to help with the stretch marks. Sorry, the exact name isn't coming to me right now, but you can find it in most drug stores in the baby aisle. Congratulations!

The veins will begin to fade in a few months. The strecthmarks.....they'll lighten, but they are here to stay. Just consider them war wounds!

My veins faded once my daughter was a few months old. When I weaned her at 12 months they went away alltogether.
