What is the right way of measuring the height of a baby? Is it head to toe or head to heels?

At my hospital, I saw the nurse measure babies strech their feet with their toes pointing out and they take that marking. That easily makes a few inches differences if measured from head to heels.

My mom will be mad, but she had me when she was 15 so she should know how it is when you are young and preggie.

She will be a grandma at 28 and it will be great because she will have enough energy for my babies.

How do I tell her I am prego? My baby's daddy said he will marry me and we plan to move into a mobile home near my middle school. His mama will pay for the baby.

I am in my first trimester and have had a history of M/Cs. My doctor is out of town and I was wondering if anyone has asked their doctor if having an orgasm is ok if you're having a normal pregnancy so far in the first trimenster. thanks

I have a neighbor who is pretty poor and she is expecting a child in May. I would like to put together a diaper bag for her, full of stuff that will come in handy like wipes, some onsies, etc. I've never had a baby so am a little overwhelmed looking at all that is available. Looking for a list of suggestions from someone who knows what a new mom could really use! :)

He wasn't there for my pregnancy or the birth. 5 months later he has decided he wants to be involved. His way of going about this is to take me to court. He is requesting joint legal custody and for me to change my sons last name. Sounds a bit arcaic (sp?) to me.

Okay I don't know what to think. I am usually really regular. I always start my period between the 15th and the 18th. Well except for last month. I didn't start until the 24th and it lasted until almost the 29th. And this month I am still waiting. I took a pregnancy test the other day but it was negative. I still haven't started and I am having some symptoms I just hope they aren't psychosomatic since we have been trying to get pregnant for a few months now. Should I waste money on another test or just chill out and wait awhile?

I am 49 years old and have one child with my 1st husband, my son is now 26 years old.

I am getting married to a wonderful man who is 57 and hasn't met the right woman to marry and have children with.

We want to have our own biological child, but my family is not supporting our decision.

At Christmas my son and daughter-in-law announced they are expecting their first baby. I am happy for them, but we want a baby too.

I know they say it's safe to take benadryl while pregnant.I'm 27 wks.Well last night I Took one and slept for 12 hrs best sleep I've had in a long time.It knocked me out.My question is did it knock my baby out to?If it had that effect on me what kind of effect did it have on my baby?I felt her kicking nice and strong today so I know she's probably okay but still there's doubts.Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I have 2 children both boys, one is 6 and the other is 3. I know i am not fat, but i weigh 139 pounds and would like to lose more weight. I have three children 9, 8 and 2. My 9 year old daughter is very young at heart but I just found out that she is the last child in her class to..... "believe". She evidentaly got into a dispute with her friends in class about it and told them that she was going to get up at 5:30 to prove it. I found all of this out the day after Christmas when my mother told me that she had relayed this information to her. Well I had told her that she couldn't set her alarm for 5:30 Christmas morning because the baby needed to be able to sleep later than that.... (obvioulsy not knowing she was trying to be a detective).

What should I do say to smooth things out with her? I don't want her to loose her innocence, yet I don't want her to get into it with her classmates. Another thing is that we are strong Christians and I don't want her to question her beliefs in God (if you catch my meaning)

Please let me know what you have experienced with your children or how your parents handled this.

My 9 wk old son rubs his eyes with his hands all the time and also rubs his face. He does it so much that it makes his eyes and face red.He always takes his hands to his face.

I have tried putting mittens but still he does that. Any idea why he does that? Is he having any problem? What can I do to stop it?
