Try having him drown cheerios in the potty. Or you can have him make bubbles. My son loves that. Good luck

There is actually nothing wrong with peeing like a girl. Lots of men do, it's just not commonly known. Much cleaner, too, in terms of splashback and cleanup. If you really want him to pee standing up, just show him how to aim. He doesn't need a demonstration by a man. They make little circles that float in the toilet for boys to use as targets when they're learning to pee.

Here's a link to an example of potty training targets, complete with training suggestions.

There are lots of others, too.

My sister has potty trained two children without a daddy around, and in her case the oldest child was a girl who was the role model for her brother to learn to use the potty. Boys do #2 by sitting down, and my nephew learned to do #2 and of course he went #1 during so he started out by sitting down, and then we told him to stand to pee, and he figured it out no problem. Don't worry, he won't pee like a girl forever!

Good luck! And don't worry, women have been toilet training their kids without men around for centuries (i.e. men off to war, deadbeat dads, widows, etc.)

Tell him he is old enough now to use the potty.
Show him how. And get some pull ups tell him they are big boy underware and when you need to potty to go to the bathroom or tell you. Might wanna help him the first couple times. or get him his only little potty. Plus you might wanna get a stool or something if he can't reach the sink. It's good to get your children in the habit of washing there hands after doing there business.

Pee like a girl? I think you're worrying about the wrong stuff. Try to teach him to be a responsible, hard-working, empathetic and intelligent man.

Once he is a real man, he'll learn to pee standing up all by himself (as if it really matters at that point).

seem at it this manner - no person is ever of their nappies - I even have 2 boys and the two began whilst they have been 2 and a 0.5. in case you're working then of path it ought to be difficult - yet do no longer hassle the time which you have with him make him sit down on a potty once you be attentive to he ought to wanna pass wee or poo - enable him positioned on no longer something yet a protracted blouse - quickly as he in simple terms pees on the floor - make him experience what he finished by employing putting his hands there and telling him "seem u moist that! - this isn't good pee in right here - consistently seem out everytime he pees and drag him to the potty and regardless of if he did no longer pee of their positioned some water there to make him think of he pee'd in the potty and reward him with what he likes rapidly no longer the next day. shop doing that he gets the carry of it - and whilst ure no longer with him make him positioned on those nappies that make em experience they moist themselves you be attentive to the old types - they are greater environmentally friendly to boot - so once you're no longer around he will nonetheless seem around for the potty. it incredibly is going to take no longer than a week even nonetheless it incredibly is going to likely be greater effectual in case you wait untill he's two and a 0.5 years to make it extremely artwork effectively - each and every new child is particular/diverse. good success!

Put something in the toilet to aim at like a cherrios or fruit loops. Just make a game out of it and make sure to praise him everytime he does it. I don't know how far along you are but if he learning to poty right now make sure you start him standing its easier. Also to get him to start doing it make sure and take him every half hour or hour to go even if doesnt have to. Hope this helps.

All of the above answers and bring him to the bathroom every 15-20 minutes and have him try to go. Keep a pull up on him for naps and nighttime until he can control himself and ask to go without you reminding him. My grandson trained in 3 days with constant reminding and has very few accidents but even then he stops and runs to the bathroom. good luck and have patience with him.

You could try leaving some Cheerios in a cup on the back of the toilet and make a game out of it. When he needs to go, have him drop one in the toilet and try to target it. Tell him to hold and aim. Good luck!

What is wrong with peeing sitting down? A lot of men do, it is easier and makes less mess!

Stop putting your bizarre hangups about what makes a real man on your toddler!
