I'm 13 and i've noticed that i'm changing. I'm starting to break out of my shell.

It's simply because you are finding out who you are. Everyone changes at that age. When I was 13 I was extremely shy and hated meeting new people. Now at 16 I'm very extroverted and I love all my friends and meeting new people. You also begin to find out who your true friends are. Everything changes for a reason, just go with it...it's for the best!
