Me and my husband are going out for dinner for our aniversary. Yesterday, when I picked up the phone I heard her planning a party with her friend which would take place at my house while we were gone. I was about to go punish her when I realized that she's got to learn her lesson sometime, she's got to go through it to understand the dangers of it. I know that she's a smart 17-year-old, and she would never drink or have sex. She's not a troubled girl, she's top-of-the-class. Should I let her go through with her party and then learn all the risks she exhibited, or catch her now and make sure she is safe? I want the best for my baby, but the problem is, she's growing up. Should the decision be hers? Normaly I would go into her room right now and punish her but I'm not so sure now, considering she's almost 18-years-old.

If my baby measued at 18 weeks when I was 18 weeks does that make my conception day 2 weeks after my period? I know if you are 18 your really 16 so I was wondering if that was he same in uktrasound measurments

I’m 26 years old, used no form of protection, no birth control, no condoms and my boyfriend came in me 3 days ago. A one time thing. What are my odds of being pregnant? My last period ended about a week and a half ago. I know I’m going to have to wait until I have, or don’t have a period in order to really know...but should I realistically be worried? Numerous sources that have tried to get pregnant tell me it’s a tough thing to do and to not worry. (I’m not trying to get pregnant) I want to go out and have a few drinks for new years and enjoy, but if there is a high probability of me being pregnant I will definitely reconsider. If anyone has any info it would greatly be appreciated. :)

The guy is 18 she is 15 he doesn't know if she's a virgin...??...but he still did her with no protection but he didn't pull out. The guy also said that his other homies did her right after. What does it mean when the girl has vaginal bleeding while the first guy had sex with her..??..

I'm 27 weeks pregnant. Two nights ago, I woke up from pain! For what seemed like an hour, but was probably only 15 minutes, ;) I felt a strange pain/pressure/cramp feeling all through my lower stomach area. After about 15 minutes it went away, but the next day I still had a little soreness on my left side like I had "pulled an ovary." Ha, I know that doesn't make sense, but hopefully it helps you to understand what I felt.

If I were worried about this then I'd call my OB, but I'm not. I'm just curious. I know my baby WAS transverse, head to the right. Do you think maybe that was just pain as he was changing positions? I'd love to have an ultrasound right now just to see! I'm not one who can feel through my belly and tell where the head is. The u/s tech told me at 20 weeks that my placenta is in the front. I assume that's why I can't feel those things.

I got a negative home pregnancy test and a positive one. Considering that the positive one is more sensitive I called my Dr. She's not an OB/GYN. Though she will order a blood test. I was wondering how sensitive blood tests are and what to expect when I see her. Do I take the positive test with me?

okay i still havent gotten my period and its almost 3.5 weeks! and well today i went to a doctor here in el salvador and well they took a blood pregnacy test and it came out negative so what could it be? this has never happened before not even when i was really stressed out so what could this be? i kinda do want to have a baby but how can i get pregnant if i dont get my period?

ok my uncle and his girlfriend got pregnet. they found out it was a boy and decided on the name Brandon Davon because they like the name Brandon and Davon is a name that has been passed down for like 6 generations. Well when the baby was born Lisa (uncle's girlfriend) went behind my uncle's back and named the baby James Brandon. Everyone was mad because it was a tradition for all of the Harmon men's first born son's middle name to be Davon even if they didnt like it. my uncle and Lisa liked the name and it had been settled for like 7 monthes. Do u think this was a wrong thing for Lisa to do? i do.

even if you know that the father will be a great dad, some girls and even full grown "women" feel they're the only ones who can make the decision.
i just don't get it.

the father has the right to know and help make the decisions with anything that involves HIS child.

Ok im 16 years old and im 7 weeks pregnant. I haven't been able to keep down alot of food and i've lost 10lbs. Before i got pregnant i was 120 afterwards i went up to 130 and dropped it in a week. I keep hydrated with Gaterade and ginger ale. I also eat as much as i can before throwing it up. Is my baby gunna die from this? Is there anything i can do? My 1st prenantal app isn't till January 8, 2007 Please help me im scared.

I'm 18 and I sincerley feel that my parents are overcontrolling. Everytime I want to leave the house, to say, go have a cup of coffee with a friend, I have to ask their permission. Usually they say no. I'm not allowed to go over friends houses unless their is an adult over. If I get a slightly less than perfect grade in school with a subject I struggle with, their on my back. If I have a male friend over, I'm not allowed to be in my room, even with the door open. Every time I open my mouth to question why I'm not allowed to do certain things, I get told to "Shut Up", or that I'm "just mad because they're saying no" or that "they dont want to hear it" or that I'm "defying them". There is constant fighting in my house because when my older brother was my age, he was pretty much allowed to do whatever he wanted. I feel as if they're stifling me, even other adults such as parents of friends say that they're too hard on me. I feel like I have no say in my life. What do I do?

had my period dec 15th i got off the 19th of dec. i been fertile now for 2 days. i ovulate the 29th, but yesterday was having bad pains in my left side, lower tummy,. and today, i found just a spot of blood in my panties, and nowim cramping off and on. what could this be, is it to early for implating. of the egg? wonder if i take a test now will it show up?

It has always been my plan to have one or two natural children, and adopt a baby girl from China (The conditions for female orphans in China are sickening, while not an ideal situation here, at least domestic orphans have their welfare secured.

Me and my fiancee are leaning towards only having one natural child, as we want to give them every opportunity that we did not have in life.

I had also originally planned to have my natural child first, and then adopt our second child, but now that we have set down and really thought this through, we think it might be more healthy to adopt first. We think this would help our baby girl, especially coming from a different culture, feel just as much part of the family as our natural child, which might be hard if we added on to our family.

We also think that this would help our natural baby develop a normal sibling relationship with our adopted baby, as this would be all he/she would know.

Which do you think would be more healthy? Thanks!

Andrew will be one in Jan.... he is crawling and standing with the help of objects.

Lately he has been very defiant, something our daughter never did..... He grabs for things and then when they are taken away he screams and cries. He follows Me everywhere and cries to be picked up. Sometimes he doesnt sleep through the night and will wake up screaming until I arrive.

He is defiant all day.... I understand he is establishing independence, but whats with the scraming when he doesnt get what he wants?

my son who will be 11 months old jan 3rd, 2007 whines and cries a lot during the day. He is never really happy for long unless you are playing with him and i can not do that all day long, nor would i want too. I want him to play by himself as well. When my daughter who is now 8 was his age, she never was like that. It has nothing to do with him being hungry or tired cause he will do it within 15 minutes after being done eating or getting up. My sister tells me to ignore him and that is probably the best thing cause after i fed and change him, he should be allright but all he will do is whine and cry a lot during the day. It's like he is never happy.

My question is about my 2 moth (11 weeks baby girl) She was supossed to get her 2 month vaccinations-Well child visit on Dec 08, 2006. But she's been scheduled for Jan 08, 2007. She'll be 3 months by then and I am very concern about this because I know vaccinations are VERY importannt.
How can this affect my child? What's your advice on this? I will appreciate any help. Thank you.
