I have been having blood and slimy, clear cervical mucus mixed together in this month's cycle. Is this normal. I usually just have have straight blood. (Sorry if this is too much information, but I need help to figure out what is going on.) Thanks for any information that can be provided.

And I have not had sexual intercourse while on my cycle.

Yes it is normal. I've heard of other women who experienced the same thing. Not sure what it is, but I wouldn't worry about it.

This is not unusual. Your cervix is open when you are menstruating, just as it is open when you are ovulating. Cervical mucus passes through the cervix any time it is open... during ovulation and menstruation. That's why Natural Family Planning informs you that menstruation is considered to be a fertile time because cervical mucus can be present.

Mine gets that way when I have sex during my period. But it sounds normal to me. Don't stress and good luck!
