He only drinks a bottle before bed time, but it is a nightly ritual. I tried to give him his pacifier last night when I was rocking him to see how he would react and he cried until I gave him his bottle. Any advice?

I am in a big dilemma, im not sure if im pregnant or not. But my period is two days late, I know thats not a big deal, but my husband and are very sexually active, and we never use protection. My periods are usually on time but never late, sometimes early but never late. I dont feel I need to take a pregnancy test, untill Im at least a week late, but I do have a question for all you mothers out there. 2-3 Weeks after conception did anyone have definate pregnancy symptoms, or new they were pregnant. I know it's quite early for me, but I dont feel like anything has changed or is different about me. Is there any woman that didn't have any symptoms, a couple weeks after coception? Let me know how you felt, because I dont mind being pregnant I think I just gave up hope, I'd like to know if its possible to feel regular. I was just wondering since I have seen so many teenagers smoking on my way from school that couldnt have been older than 14. How is it possible to get them other than from older siblings and parents?

my symptoms are..

If the smallest thing dosent' work, like his blocks fall or he can't open the toy box, he freaks out, not for long but it is upsetting to me because most of the time he throws him self down or throws something and has hurt himself more than once doing this. I try and stay calm and talk to him about how it's ok just try it again and things like that but he is just a baby he dosen't speak english so how do i get him to relax and try again before he has a melt down?

Why do some moms put other moms down for raising their kids differently? Why is there an issue between stay at home moms and working moms and moms who breastfeed and those that formula feed? Shouldnt we be supporting each other instead of ripping the heads off women who do it differently than we do?

***Please dont give me the benefits of being a stay at home mom or breastfeeding.. I already know them. Im just curious why some moms have to put other moms down for doing it differently. Thank you***

Well I'm 16 1/2 weeks pregnant and today I'm seeing the doctor for the first time. Well actually I saw the doctor when I was 5 weeks pregnant but didn't see a heartbeat and couldn't really see anything on the ultrasound because she didn't do it vaginal she did it over my stomach so I couldn't really see anything. Since then I haven't seen any doctor because I've ben moving around alot. Well what I wanna know is do you think I will be having an ultrasound and if so how possible is it to be able to tell the sex of the baby?

I am 23 weeks with my third child and for the past 2 - 3 weeks I have had a lot more discharge than usual. (Sorry to be so graphic) It is pretty clear, sometimes a little cloudy or milky, not thick, and does not have any odor to it. There is really nothing different about it than normal discharge, it is just that there seems to be much more than normal. The inside of my labia is somewhat irritated and itches as well. I don't know if this is because it is irritated from constantly wiping after I use the restroom or not. I do not recall anything like this with my other pregnancies. I know it is not a yeast infection, the discharge is not the same. I don't think it is BV because their is no odor and the discharge is not gray. What is going on? Am I being paranoid? Has this happened to anyone else? I go to the doc on Friday. Should I ask to have tests done? SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!

my six month old has never wanted to drink her bottle. she has always been on formula. i have tried different bottles,formulas,tempatures,times. she takes a few sucks then she turns her head with frustration. she only is taking maybe 11 oz a day. her dr is'nt worried because she is gaining weight and is doing well devlopmently. what could be wrong or what should i do?
she also is always rubbing her eyes and nose.

My friend is pregnant and nursing and her nipples are terribly sore. I have heard there are creams for numbing the nipples but I can't find any information on them.

Has anyone used them? Which ones? Do they work?

And no the pain isn't due to latching issues, it is just normal sensitivity from being pregnant. This is her 5th baby so she is pretty good at breastfeeding.

Is it true that you have a higher chance of miscarrying during your FIRST pregnancy than your second, third, etc?

I read this on a pregnancy forum and worries me because I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby.

Has anyone heard this before? Any truth to it?

Do you believe that is best to labour without pain relief as much as possible? Or do you think pain relief is a wonderful thing and should be taken advantage of?
What are the reasons for your views?

I heard there was some chinese table that let you know the gender of a child based on the calndar time in which the child was concieved or born. I'd like to know how that works, strictly for theoretical purposes, as I am single, and like it that way.

This is my first month of TTC, and i was wondering... is it better to:
1) Chart your BBT
2) Use ovulation predictor test/kits or
3) Let nature happen

(the third one proves to me the hardest one for me to do because i am always thinking and wondering and researching etc..)

i know they are all good ways to get pregnant, but i want to know which one worked best for you! please just pick one...

I have seen and been around so terrible ill manored kids over the years. I have a 5 year old with a stay at home mom. Never been in day care. In my opinion the recent decline in childerens disiple is directly related to moms in the work place. Especially when some of those moms don't care how their kids are raised. Of course there are some that are just to worn out at the end of the day to put their all into mothering. I am a firm beleiver if you leave it up tp other people to raise your kids they just aren't going to do the job most of us parent would for our own kids raising.

I got a couple of rug rats at home (5, 8 respectively) anywhay, the darn kids get my walls all full of their crappy drawings of wizards and unicorns and such. Its already cost me a load in new paint and whatnot! (they draw on it will colors or markers or whatever they can get a hold of with their grubby little hands) I just wanna grab them by their dirty hair so hard and throw em into an attic and not worry about them for months! LOL!
Of course, thats against the ol' law so no-no to that
LOL!
Anyway, what can I do? Everytime I try to get them to behave they cuss me out and kick my shins
