Exercise during pregnancy is great, especially if you have always been an avid exerciser. If you haven't exercised much before, start off slowly. Either way, many of the books and magazines I have read on the subject suggest that you modify your intensity level when you are pregnant. They suggest you shouldn't work out so hard as to not be able to maintain a normal conversation, meaning that you aren't panting or breathing so heavily that you can't speak normally.

All the same, make sure your doctor is comfortable with you exercising and the types of exercises you will do.

It depends on how hard you work out now. If you are at a higher level of fitness now then you should be safe doing most of the same things you are now. If you are at a lower level and just starting then you should pace yourself and be careful. Weights at any stage of pregnancy might not be a good idea since lifting should be kept to a minimum.

I new a lady that was pregnant, and she continued to play professional tennis (not in competitions though, except for the first couple months when it was not noticeable) And right up until the week she had the baby, she was outside everyday working, on her swing, doing suicide runs, and jogging about a mile to the tennis courts and back. She was crazy, and her baby was perfect! I wouldn't worry how longyou work out for!

you can do yoga wich is not too stressful, but if not just remeber that a pregnant woman can exercise 3 to 5 times a week for 30 minutes
ata heart rate that achieves 60 to 70 percent.recomended types of exercise are: walking, cycling, swiming or dancing, and towards the end of pregnancy try to switch to non weight bearing exercises.

Whatever workout you do now will be okay, but of course later in the pregnancy you may be uncomfortable doing some exercises. You'll know how and when to slow down by how your body feels - just pay close attention.

It really depends on what your doctor says, but with my wife she was able to do the same workout and intensity that she was doing before she got pregnant, unitl she couldn't do it any more. Doing squats and lunges late in you rpregnancy is not a good idea. But everything else is alright, as long as you are not over exerting yourself and can do it comfortably.

As hard as you want if you're in good health. Think of peasant women that work in the fields until they go into labor.
