I got a couple of rug rats at home (5, 8 respectively) anywhay, the darn kids get my walls all full of their crappy drawings of wizards and unicorns and such. Its already cost me a load in new paint and whatnot! (they draw on it will colors or markers or whatever they can get a hold of with their grubby little hands) I just wanna grab them by their dirty hair so hard and throw em into an attic and not worry about them for months! LOL!
Of course, thats against the ol' law so no-no to that
LOL!
Anyway, what can I do? Everytime I try to get them to behave they cuss me out and kick my shins
What do I do?
I feel like dying...

With the way you talk, you either gotta be kidding or you need to give them to someone else who can love and care for them. No serious parent would write this type of forum in that manner, with a problem so serious.
If a prank....haha...so funny. If real...don't rely on strangers in this forum...what a dunce. You need more help than those kids ever will. When you get your act together...they will be glad to follow suit, even if it takes a while to instill discipline. Shame on you for addressing this serious matter in such an insensitive and vile manner!

Law my ***. There's a reason there's punishments back then. The point of those was to learn the consequences of what they have done. Probably don't let them have dinner until they say sorry or they'll do it again, again, and again. Raising your voice is another way. And for the drawing problem, tell them to draw on paper. Walls are not a place to draw. 5 and 8 years old? The 8 year old should be responsible for the 5 year old, instead of teaching the little to follow. Just like spank em or something ;).

You might try taking them to family counseling sounds like that need it. Also you might try acceptible discipline such as time out, grounding them, or even spanking, (I know that is frowned on, but if they are kicking you and disrepecting you then you have to do something to stop this) Also do they behave this way in school. Let them know the rules, they are only allowed to draw on paper not the walls, and get markers that only write on certain paper, and throw the rest away. After you have enforced these rules if they break them start taking away things they like such as tv time, toys etc,and put them in there room if they cuss or kick you. Until they apologize for there bad behavior.

If your kids are drawing on your walls it's your fault! You are supposed to be WATCHING what your children do and teaching them to draw only on paper! If they draw on anything else, then make THEM wash it off! They should only have something to write with when they are sitting at a desk or table with paper to draw on! You are the MOTHER and are supposed to have control over your children! You can't do that if you aren't watching what they do!! If they are kicking you and cussing you then it's YOUR FAULT! How could you put up with your child treating you like that for 8 yrs??? Watch the Nanny shows on TV. You can learn how to handle them. You'll be amazed on how their methods work and it can change your and your children's lives without spanking! If you don't get control NOW, you'll never be able to do anything with them in the future!

Their attitude with you, probably has alot to do with your attitude toward them. Children aren't just born with behavior problems, those problems are created as time goes on. Do they have a father in the home? I would suggest professional counseling, because your problems are only going to get worse as they get older and then it becomes very dangerous for them! You could also try purchasing an art book and encourage their drawing in the book. Maybe you could even compliment them and make them feel good about themselves, show their work to friends and family. Then they would have something to be proud of and maybe they would stop drawing on your walls.

I do believe that you've got yourself in quite a pickle my friend. First, I have to wonder about the formative years of your children (2-5 years) Where were you? Let me guess; saying how cute they were being rebellious and resisting authority, displaying that independent free spirit we all love to see in our little-ones until the situation you seem to find yourself in now pops-up LOL Not funny ? I guess being in eternal optimist, I see the potential in any given situation. I believe that all things happen for a reason. including your situation. From what I'm gathering you need to give these little darlings a dedicated space; to produce their art work. The theme seems a little gothic for my taste. I can only assume, that they are being exposed to quite a violent period of time in man's history. Mabey you should try changing their viewing habits. smile. Finally, they seem to be somewhat settled in their ways and that's probably because they think your alright with the way things are! If you're not you should let them know by your actions not your reactions to the things they do. Well good luck with that. Try to remember, it's all in how you look at life. Change your way of seeing your kids, and they'll change the way they want to be seen by you. Be positive!!!!

You need to get control of your kids. No 5 or 8 year old should be cussing at their parents. Sit down with their listing ears on and try talking to them, explain what the rules are and what the punishments are going to be.
Put stuff up from them that they are not allowed to play with.

Maybe you could paint a wall with chalk board paint and supply them with chalk.

Get control of your kids Good Luck!

try being a real parent. take away everything in the house of theres and box it up and tell tehm they dont get anything until they can learn to behave and respect you. and u CAN spank your kids thats not illegal you just cant beat them. if all else fails set up a lil "scheme" with an adoption agency and just one day when they are just horrible snap and say "thats it pack 3 outfits in a bag!" and when they do drop them off @ the adoption agency and leave for a half hour n then come back and tell them they better start behaving! and for the cussing part wash there mouths out with soap or make a mixute of the hottest hot sauces and use that, my mom did that and i learned real fast, that stuff didn "wash" out to quickly!

first off it's time to show them you mean business that means if they don't listen they get punished no writing on the walls and if they cuss and kick you and do it anyway it's because you don't follow thru. You need to follow thru with punishment. Say going to bed early, sitting on your bed until dinner is ready, taking away things like the t.v. video games anything they love to do take it away and tell them they have to earn it back by doing what they are told to do and not to disobey.

start watching super nanny on the tv. Take away all pens and pencils and only let them have then under your supervision. Your kids sound bored and in need of your time try playing board games with them or get them invoved in a project with you like rug making for example. if you dont fancy that look into clubs or hobbies they could get into. churches usually have some sort of kids club with the added bonus of being free. check out whats on in your local area.IF ALL THIS FAILS YOU COULD Always ban sweets. good luck
