Why do some moms put other moms down for raising their kids differently? Why is there an issue between stay at home moms and working moms and moms who breastfeed and those that formula feed? Shouldnt we be supporting each other instead of ripping the heads off women who do it differently than we do?
***Please dont give me the benefits of being a stay at home mom or breastfeeding.. I already know them. Im just curious why some moms have to put other moms down for doing it differently. Thank you***

I have very strong opinions about raising my children because its the most important job I will ever have but I dont put other moms down for doing it differently. I realize that we all have the same goal in mind.. to raise healthy, successful, well mannered, and stable adults. If you put 100 adults in a room you arent going to be able to pick the ones out that were fornula fed or went to day care or were spanked or just put in time out.

who knows. i think it may be just a way for them to justify what they are doing. but whatever the reason its not a good one. we should all support each other. we are all mothers and we all love are children very much.

I think it is a natural reaction to belittle someone who dosent' do something as important as parenting the same way you do because if the other person is doingit different than you are they must think you are doing it wrong so we lash out and be not so nice as a way to make our decisions seem more justified to ourselves. I agree that we should all just get along and be the kind of parents we want to be but that will never happen, our children are too important to us and the responsibility we have is huge so if we even think someone else thinks we arent doing it right we get very defensive.

I feel the same way even though I am a stay at home mom I will be gioing to work when my babies are old enough to go to school and now people want to hit you with homeschooling

because thats the way humans are now days it doesnt just pertain to moms its in every single thing we do someone is always waiting fot just the rite moment to say that you messed up or that they can do it better then you.. just do what you believe is rite for you and do it the best that you can and let people say what they want..

Cause some people are just like that, my grandma use to treat my mom so badly just because she wanted to go out and make her own money.

Sometimes parents just set themselves up with the questions they ask. For example.... "Am I a bad mother if...?" Sometimes people feel the need to criticize others to make themselves feel better. It's sad but true.

so long as it does not effect my kids i dont care how others raise their kids, but i do think that hitting kids is bad and should be avoided through parenting classes maybe?
