Pregnancy & Parenting - 6 December 2006

My husband is a stay at home dad to our 2 year old daughter and he drives an SUV. I just had another baby. The problem is, I don't want to drive an SUV. I have an SL55, which I drive to work and take my daughter in when I am not working. I want to my newborn in the car, but my husband disagrees and tells me I should get a bigger car for the family. I love my car, and worked very hard to buy it for myself. Why should I have to give up my car, if we already have an SUV?

I am strongly opposed to abortion. However, I do understand some of the circumstances nowadays like rape, incest, etc. First of all, these days you have all these little girls who go out have a good ol time and then wind up pregnant. When they find out, they want an abortion. To me, if you can lay there and do the dirty work then you have every right in the world to suffer the consequences. A child is a child at conception!It is a living human being. This is even for adults. For those who just want sex and then wind up pregnant and want an abortion because the party is over. Sex was made yes I know for pleasure but mainly for the creation of children between a married man and woman. If it had something to do with rape or incest then I might would consider it being okay. I would not be happy for it, but it would make it to where this child didn't have to live life in hell. But as far as just wanting to have sex for fun and then aborting the child because the fun is over, is just wrong!

I'm currently 4 months pregnant and I'm really considering quitting my job so I can stay home with my four year onld and the new baby once it arrives. Trouble is, we can't afford to go with out my -income. I'm considering childcare- keeping around 4 kids or so for now (all children of close friends or family). Has anyone done this transition? I feel I will be much more happier spending time with my kids all day and the added plus of no more traffic, no more deadlines, and no more exspensive daycare. If anyone had done this, please offer advice. Just a consideration and I wasn't sure where to post this question:) Thanks!

Pregnant or period?
My husband and I had sex on 11/23, 11/24, and 11/25. I ovulated on 11/25 and my period is due to arrive on Friday, December 8th. I am having mood swings and I am crampy. But the cramps are a little bit different from those I normally receive with my period. I am also having lower back pain which I have never had before. And, I don't cramp until the day of my period. I know nothing can be sure except for the pregnancy test, but I want to wait until Friday or Saturday to test. I just would like to know your thoughts...

s he is fine and will talk when he is ready. He is a second child; older child is 6. He understands what is said to him and follows instruction; laughs and throws fits like most 2 year olds. Just won't talk. Are there others out there who have gone through this. What did you do to get them to talk.

Ok so my two year old is usually good at listening and puts her own toys away etc.....But lately she thinks its ok to push (the best a lil toddler can push) me out of her way. And she tells me no and points for me to go to the corner. She only does it when her dad or other relatives are around .She only see's her dad on the weekend since he goes out of state for college in the week. When it is just me and her she's an ANGEL. How do I get her to stop?

I weight 210 and I am 5'6''. I dont look or feel my weight. I dont over eat and my health is in great condition. My blood pressure is great and so is my thyroid and blood sugar. I just had a miscarriage this past week. It was our first and I was 6 weeks along. We only tried to get pregnant for 3 months and the third month was a charm (so I thought). We are very upset and depressed over it all. I am trying to figure out what went wrong. Could my weight have anything to do with it? I took my vitamins and I did minimal exercise. I ate very healthy. I had no pop, candy, sweets, or any junk. Instead I ate lots of veggies and fruits. I ate a lot of lean protein such as chicken breast. I ate pastas and normal food. We already decided that before we try again that it is best that I lose at least 20 lbs just to be on the safe side. I just want to know if my miscarriage might have been prevented if I was at an ideal weight?

I recently quit the pill in Sep 06. My last MP was 5 Nov 06. It was over 40 days until that one came. My question is doesn't your cycle go back to 28 days? I was fairly regular before the pill and I have quit once before and my periods were always regular. I was due for my period 3 Dec 06 and still nothing. I'm tired, and I'm only nauseous at night before going to bed. I definitley am bloated and moody. However 2 home PG tests have been negative, when should I test? Am I even pregnant or is it just PMS?

Three nights ago my gf and I were having sex until I realized there was a small rip in the top of the condom. I did not ejaculate inside of her, however, I am fearing that some pre-semen may have gotten inside of her. Last night she took the first pill of Plan B, and this morning she took the second. I am still nervous though because I am at no point ready to be having a child. I am just curious if you guys think I was overreacting by suggesting she take Plan B?, what the chances are that she may be pregnant?, and if there are any immediate ways to see if the pill worked or not?

My son used to eat anything I fed him. Spinach was his favorate. Since the day he turned two, it seems, he only wants sugary junk or chicken nuggets. Everything else ends up on the floor. I've even resorted to putting candy sprinkles on everything from bananas to spaggetti. I'm scared he's not getting enough nutrients. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

My baby is almost 3 mo. old and I have always put her in her bouncy seat and brought her into the bathroom with me while I'm taking a shower. I told my aunt this, and she said it would be fine to take a shower and just leave my baby in the crib because it is safe. I'm not sure if I want to do this just yet. Do any of you leave your baby in their crib while you take a shower?
