First off, I don't want to argue politics or religion. PLEASE! :) I'd rather address this from a moral standpoint.

If you don't believe that life begins at conception... fine. I don't want to talk about that. We won't change each other's minds anyway.

My question is this:

How can you justify aborting a pregnancy in which the fetus would be viable outside of the womb?

Many argue that women should be able to make the choice and that they shouldn't be expected to carry a baby for 9 months in order to give it up for adoption. If the baby is far enough along to live outside the womb, how can anyone justify ending that life? Do any of you believe in the pro-choice movement but not this particular case?

Just wondering...

Not for midwives or Bradley folks... I want to know if the common person knows the short and/or long term effects of an epidural on a baby and labor/delivery. My guess is "no".

Personally, I think people take for granted how INEFFECTIVE it is. Between myself and my closest friends, we have:

2 pill and condom babies
2 pill/condom/foam babies
5 Depo babies (twins AND triplets, same mom)
7 pill babies
1 condom/foam/diaphragm baby

Is it just me, or is the pill a JOKE?! WIth methods like the nuva ring and mirena that are waaay more effective and have less side effects, you would think the pill would be obsolete. Personally, I love my Mirena. 18 months and I am baby and symptom free.

What has your experience been?

True or False: "If I ever found out that I was the product of incest and my grandfather covered up the whole story, that would make me worthless."

There is alot of information about the cervical mucus prior and during to show ovulation. After attempting to conceive during ovulation, does the discharge change to indicate any body change (eg a successful conceivement). At what stage do you know that the "window" of ovulation has closed and you then have to wait till your next ovulation window???

Now that I'm in junior high, it's especially important to prevent body odor. In physical education, our teacher told us to bring deodorant to keep in our lockers. My mom seems to disapprove. She says that "We Asians don't have bad odor". I kept telling her that ever since 5th grade, our teachers told us to use deodorant. Well, when we went to Target, I said, "I need deodorant for P.E." She FINALLY said ok. Now it's passed a few days of school. I realized that I need one for home. I told my mom today, but she seemed really pissed off that I said so. What should I do? I know I should use deodorant for everyday life, not only for P.E.

My daughter has a friend in her class at school who lives four houses away. He is constantly over, one day ringing my bell 6 times in 3 hours. Another problem is that his Mother has decided that I am her personal baby sitter. I really feel just by what the boy tells me that his mother sends him to my house to get him out of her way. Not only that, but twice now in two weeks she has put me in a situation where I have felt morally obligated to watch her son. One instance includes her not being home when he gets home from school, the other being he showed up on my doorstep saying his parents were going "somewhere he could not go". I want to tell her off, but I feel sorry for him because I know she is a bad parent. The other reason, is my daughter has a hard time making friends, he is her first friend. I don't want to jeopardize that. Any advice would be great.

me and my fiancee have been ttc for about 6 months, last night I dreamed that I went to the dr. For a regular check-up and she told me that I was 7 months pregnant. I wasn't showing and I didn't have any symptoms. She showed me a 3-d ultrasound and it looked down to the tee as my fiancee and she said that it was a boy. It came time to give birth and when I did the baby came out witha big bump on his head. I asked the doctor and he said that the baby was fine all I had to do was massage the bump and it will go down. my fiancee was crying in the dream for the birth of our son. Does anyone have a logical interpertation of this dream?

My son's father asks him quite often if he is happy. We are separated and our son lives peacefully part-time with each of us. Now my son is asking me several times a day if I am happy. I point out that my happiness is not his responsibility. It seems to me that asking him that all the time is a really stressful thing to do to him and I would prefer that he stopped. What do you think, if you have children of a similar age?

Tomorrow will be day 49 of my cycle. I just grabbed a dollar tree hpt and it came back negative. I took a first response this past sunday and it was also negative. I was pregnant once before (miscarried) but was at day 50 before i even tested for the first time--and line was very faint. My boobs hurt like they did before--so i figured that was a good sign. My husband and I have had sex nearly every other day for this cycle to up our chances. Have any of you pretty much gave up hope and then found out you really were pregnant? I would think by now i'd have enough hormones in my pee. Unless i totally miscalculated ovulation. I'm afraid that if i am pregnant, my horomones are increasing too slow and i'll miscarry again. Can anyone relate?

I became a mother 13 months ago, and there are times that I can't even watch the news becuse I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I hear about the horrible things that happen in this world. I used to be able to "Handle" the horrible evil I would hear about, but ever since I had my daughter, my heart just aches for the less fortunate people in the world. I wonder if any other mothers have experienced the same kind of emotions, your thoughts are welcome!
