I am a parent.

I cannot understand the fascination with "dressing up" very young girls to make them look older.Then entering said "girls" into a contest against other "young girls".

These beauty pageants are not the same thing as a "beautiful baby" contest.

Surely these pageants must be a Mecca for paedophiles.

I would not let a child of mine anywhere near such activity.Would you?

My husband and I thought I could be pregnant due to my breast being sore, I usually love coffee but cant stand it anymore in last 2 weeks. I am peeing alot now also. I am a few days before missed period but, i took one any ways it said blue + it was a digital one which says is pregnant yellow _not mine said B+ then i took another test to make sure about 5 hrs later and it said not pregnant it to was digital but a diff one. My husband is so excited and now I have no idea what to think am I or not he will be crushed if i say no i am not. help please

I'm about 4 weeks pregnant and the father of my child doesnt know yet. I am kind of scared to tell him...when I thought I was pregnant the first time(about two years ago) he said he would leave town and never come back.. my question is how should I approach him with the situation and what should I expect from him? We arent together and dont think we ever will be. I want a relationship with him, but obvioously he thinks he can do better....I dont thibk he can.

I am almost 37 weeks and on my left side about 3 to 4 inches above my hip Hurts so bad! I cant stand with it or turn lay on it nothing! It is really really bad pain. Is it just my muscle in my stomach that is inflammed or is something bad going on? Did anyone else get this?

This is my first time taking the pill, well I don't know to much about it. I started taking the ortho tri-cyclen the 6th of August, and have sex without a condom on the 17th of August, like 12 days later I started the pill. Sometimes i don't take the pill at the same time every day, but I always try to take it around the hour. I'm unsure of what to do, and I haven't told anyone about this. Can I get pregnant? should I stop taking the pill? will the home pregnancy test work while taking the pill? and when can I use the home test?

I've been trying to "teach" her to make sounds, and she repeats a lot of them, and it looks like she's chatting with me or the person who does that to her.
Isn't she too little to be doing this?
I thougth only older babies were able to do this.

A few years back I fell at work and fractured my lower back and ever since then my doctor has had me on Vicodin ES for the pain and physical therapy on and off. 4 different doctors(all knowing i was pregnant) told me that it was safe for baby as long as it's not abused. I am 37 weeks pregnant and i only take a half a pill every 3 hours or longer so i am NOT abusing this drug but i'm afraid that my baby will be born addicted or they will drug test me and take the baby away even though it WAS percribed to me. Can they do this? I tried to stop taking the pills no matter what the doctor told me for the baby and the pain got so bad that I couldn't get off of my couch. So I had to go back on them. I called the hospital and asked them about their drug testing procedures and they said that only if the mother has already tested positive or if they suspect drug abuse towards the baby. Would they concider a perscription a drug? Please help.

She only says a few words and then she seems to forget them and then use them out of the blue. Like the other day we were in the car and I said fantastic and she said fantastic and smiled at me... And then the rest of the day she just babbles a mile a minute.. I took her to see a movie and she would get so excited and babble at the screen but I had no idea what shes saying.. She is very sweet and loving and loves to bable, babble, babblebut I just can't get her to say more words. Altough she does understand everything I say and very well, she follows directions well to. I sing to her and read to her and I just know shes looking at me like I know what you want me to do Mama but I'm not gonna and then she smiles.... She watches me when I talk too which I know is suppoused to help.. I called the Dr. and she said shes fine give her time... So, any suggestions or fun games to help her along in the speech catagory.. Thanks Moms...

I have a friend whose child was adopted by the grandmother and im worried about the child. He is 8 almost 9 and still sleeps in the bed with his grandmother. They still take an occasional bath together (she is pushing 70). he is slightly affectionate and has a real bad temper. He is always butting into adult conversations, running the streets at odd hours, can be gone all day and part of the night, and it seems the dont care. They have him in couseling, he goes twice a month. but he is very rude and sassy to the grandparents and is allowed to get away with everything. is there anything i can do about this? or is this even my business? My friend calls me crying when she has been to visit because the grandparents has told him horrible things about her that are not true. and he calls her names and cusses her out and they do nothing.

I just want to name my future daughter with these rules:
First, for her first name, the first letter should be J
Second, for her middle name, the first letter should be O
And the third, for her last name, the first letter should be Y...
Would you help me??? So if it is shorted her name become J.O.Y.

I am on the birth control pill called ortho tricyclen and have been on it for almost 2 years. I've been with the same guy 4 the same amount of time. So please don't answer my question by saying I'll get STDs cuz I plan on having only 1 partner from now on. We're not married yet because I'd like to finish my studies first. Now back to my question. I work in the kitchen at a restaurant.. I used to be a server, but my Dr. told me no serving because I was cramping when I carried trays...however my current postion has me bent over mopping underneath counters and picking things up off the floor..basically ALOT of bending.. is this bad for the baby?
