I am 37 weeks with my second child and I feel the same way. It almost feels like she is trying to push through my skin sometimes. But as uncomfortable as it is for us, just think about how uncomfortable it is for your baby that cant even stretch in there because they have run out of space. You are probably feeling braxton hicks contractions also on top of your baby trying to move, so there are a lot of reasons,,but just remember, it is almost over and the reward will well be worth it!! Congrats and good luck..

well remember that your uterus has gone from the size of about an orange to something that is holding a 7 lb baby! baby is heavy and cramped in there, so when he twists and turns it can press on organs and ligaments. But just think it will be all over soon! enjoy this time. once they are here its a whole other game!

Well, probably because you and your baby are about as big as your going to get. Braxton hicks are very uncomfortable if the baby tries to move during them. It's sounds completely normal to me. But if it gets too bad, or your water breaks take yourself into the hospital immediately.

Because you're practically busting loose, girlfriend! :) That baby will come any day now ... he or she is running out of room. Both of my kids had a particular talent for kicking me in the lungs once they dropped into position.

It'll be over soon, and they'll pull your hair instead ;)

I hope your baby's birth is a beautiful experience for all involved. Best of Luck!! :)

well, there is not much room in there as there was in the beginning. i read somewhere that our 'creator'(put your religion here) in his.her infinate wisdome made the last days of pregnancy so uncomfy that the woman would look forward to the pain of birth. since there is no room left the only way the baby can move is to make you uncomfy. just try slow deep breaths and wait for it to pass. good luck

Because you are near term and your baby has filled up his/her growth space. Uncomfortable is normal, in pain is not, get to a doc if you have pain.

the size of your child... possibility of the child dropping in preparation for delivery.... I guess it would depend on your definition of uncomfortable.... if its more pressure in your nether regions I would say the baby is dropping

Because it is almost time for that baby to get out of there. Your baby is very cramped in in that cramped space!

Well, you have a baby that's almost fully developed in their squashing all your muscles and organs! It doesn't feel too good!! Don't worry, he/she will be out of there and in your arms in no time. Congratulations on being almost there! :)
