I have been having regular symptoms of getting ready for labor, like braxton hicks, tiredness, nesting, I am effaced almost completely, 38 1/2 weeks along. I had been feeling pressure of her pushing down. But it all seemed to stop. The only thing I feel now is her moving with the occasional pressure and sometimes braxton hicks. Am I moving backwards??? What does this mean?

I have a friend that works with me in a company, she's preganant but the boss is not aware but now the pregnancy can not be hide any more so she wants to write a maternity leave letter but doesn't know how because this is her first time/expereince.

I have a 4 month old that loves his front carrier. The problem is that he is getting too big for it. He is 18 lbs and when I wear the carrier it pulls on my shoulders also it is getting hard to wedge him in carrier the one I have now is a snugli. I am not sure that I want to get a back one because he likes to look around and I like to be able to see him

when do you feel the baby move for the first time? Im 16 weeks and im sitting here reading people question on yahoo, and i think i felt something, not sure. I have 2 other kids but i cant remember.

i thought i was pregnant all last week(i was natious,cranky,tired, irritable..the whole9yards) now i have a super heavy flow and i am so moody and on edge but i have no cramps and usually i have baaad back pain and stomach cramps.

We live out in the country next to a gravel road and the dust is bad. I dust all the time but she still has a hard time breathing on a windy day. Her father's mother has 3 cats and constantly insists on holding the baby and she is always covered in cat fur. I just really need to know what to do and if maybe there is medicine that I can give the little one or if she is just going to have to suffer until she is old enough to take benydril.

Both my sons came home from the first day of school telling me that their teachers told them that they needed to get more supplies. The things that they were asking for were not on the first list. Why wouldn't they just put everything that they need on the original list, instead of thinking of something later that they want students to have. I realize that supposidly every town has a Walmart and a Dollar General, thats the story anyways, but not where I live. I dont go by either between my house and work, so I will now have to wait till the weekend to go to the store to get this stuff, when the teacher could have just included it on the first list. Why do teachers do this?

i have a 10 month old daughter and she doesnt sleep through the night she will wake up at least 4 times for a drink of milk, i cant leave her to cry because she will wake up her 4 yr old sister and then they will be both awake so how can i get her to sleep through the night

My 1.5 yr old baby , has suddenly started to salivate profusely since the last 4 days .. , she has got a tendency to keep her mouth open , and her tongue held slightly out , ( i guess this is what is causing the salivating ..). but the cause for concern is that this habit just started 4 days back ... she used to suck her thumb only when she slept , but now she is not sucking her finger either ( maybe it pains her , due to which she dosent sleep soundly . she also used to chew on solid food like biscut s and fruit pieces ,, which also she has stopped ??? the doctors that i showed to are of the opinion that she has some infection in the gullet due to which she finds swollowing difficult , it could also be a nasal block due to which she is breathing thru her mouth , ( to explain why the mouth is kept open ) .. this apart my baby is perfectly healthy and playful no signs of any weakness or illness ... it worrys us to see her keeping her mouth open and salivating ...

I'm 3 months pregnant and I'm going to be a single mother. Ex isn't it the picture (with another woman). I have a great job which allows maternity leave, but I'm worried about so many things:
-how to find the right baby sitter
-is a care center better for a baby?
-how to find emotional support for myself, because I don't have a big family/ circle of friends
-how to find a positive male figure for my baby-- i know it's early, but the sooner i think about it, the better

i'm just really cautious about it. i'm so happy about having this baby, i just want to provide him with all the love/resources possible to make him a healthy person
