I have a 4 month old that loves his front carrier. The problem is that he is getting too big for it. He is 18 lbs and when I wear the carrier it pulls on my shoulders also it is getting hard to wedge him in carrier the one I have now is a snugli. I am not sure that I want to get a back one because he likes to look around and I like to be able to see him

He does not like strollers as much. I am using it to take him for walks out side.

My son weighed that much at four months too! I used the Sunggli one from Wal-Mart. At 6 months 22 pounds, I'm still using it!

I also have the Snugli (I'm not sure which model, but it's tan and khaki colour). My baby is about 16 lbs and 5 months old, but her legs are quite chunky. This carrier cuts off the circulation in her legs! I have tried tying the center so it's smaller, but it still makes her legs go blue. I end up having to hold all her weight anyway, so I might as well be carrying her.

I also have a big baby, 17 pounds at 3 months. We use the baby bjorn active carrier. Since it has back supprt, my back does not hurt as it did when I used the Snugli that someone gave us. It can be used until he reaches the 26 pound limit.
Hope this helps!

I use a maya wrap to carry my 18 mo everywhere and she's 26 lbs. Most of these carriers can be used up to 40 lbs.
You can look out on a the sling carriers. Look around the website.

My chum has a huge toddler. 10 lbs at beginning and she or he like the Ergo toddler service. i offered the service yet my toddler replaced into too small inspite of the toddler insert. i take advantage of the bjorn yet i'm thinking of the moby wrap and heard that it works for heavier toddler too. The ergo toddler service is approximately $a hundred. you may pass to the toddler keep (aim doens't have a super form) and attempt on diverse ones. Our community keep is very effective. the ladies folk help us positioned Peyton in diverse agencies so we are able to evaluate which one is greater soft for us. to answer your question, our daughter nevertheless likes being carried interior the bjorn even though it rather is beginning as much as get uncomfortable carrying her in it considering that she is heavier now, 14 lbs 14 ouncesit's why we are pondering the moby wrap. if your toddler is 21 lbs. you could def. rule out the bjorn. ETA: She's 10 months

I'm not sure, but I can tell you right now do NOT get the winne the pooh one. It pulls on your shoulders and hurts your neck so incredibly bad. Look for good shoulder padding and support clips--think about where all the weight will be pulling on you. Look for a good waist band clip.

Are you using it in the house or using it when you go out. Why don't you just use a stroller?

She was carrying her son around in it well over 20 lbs.
Hope that helps.
