Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 August 2006

My son is starting kindergarten next week and we are expecting his baby brother to arrive in about 3wks. He is having a terrible time. Very angry at us and won't talk about it. I am worried because kindergarten is a big adjustment and then a new baby. Please let me know any advice you have for me.

I was horrible this morning. First day of school, and my 15 year old son - with ADD - can't find his gym shorts. So I bitched at him about how messy his room was - his closet had cans and laundry all over - and probably the gym shorts. So he left for his first day of school with his head hanging. I wasn't yelling or anything, but probably too degrading. Ahhhh! How could I do that to him on his first day of school. Crap! Anyone else ever feel like a horrible parent, and can't turn back when it's too late??!!! Should I buy Pizza Hut for supper?

all my joints ache, i have a headache. I feel terrible. I am 38 weeks pregnant, my cervix has softened and i am dilated to a one centimeter. Been having contractions all day, but they are not coming together. they are still irregular. dr said take tylenol and rest but i just want to know if labor is coming soon. How important is it to have babies on schedules...as far as eating and napping? If they are not on schedules can it effect them...like them not eating and sleeping right?

It's happening every night. She says she's scared of bears coming in the house or something ludicris like that. Sometimes I sleep through it but she wakes my wife up almost every hour ALL NIGHT LONG! Since my wife isn't getting much sleep, she's real cranky and taking it out on me.

We've tried telling her that everything's ok. We've tried threatening her. We've tried yelling at her. We don't know what to do. She's a good kid (healthy too.)

We will not give in and let her sleep in our bed (which is what she wants to do). I'm not gonna start with that crap.

HELP :(

We are still trying to get preganat and no luck. This really sucks and is upsetting. Why can all these teen girls end up preganat and some one like me who is 26 with a husband who is 30 in less then a month can not. It is unfair. I am able to give a child a good home and a good life with loving and educated parents. We have good jobs and a nice house. Why is it so unfair?

I am 23. had unprotecd sex with my bf from july 17th after my last period till up to now. I was on the pill but skipped it for a week (21 pills 1 week not taking it in order to get my period another week skipped 2 weeks altogether) and yes i am trying to get pregnant i just use the pill to clear up bad acne i had in the past. And i dont want them to return..I had sore nipples for 2 weeks then it went away that never happen before so that is why i am asking. i got dizzy and had camps but only lasted for about 20 min or so .I am back on the pill for about 3 weeks now but stop it agian cos my period is suppose to come today or tomorrow.Nothing yet accept last sunday i had some pinkish color when wiping myself which i think is spotting and still kinda there. I took an ept knowing it might be to early last week and there was a really faint positive u can hardly see it but only showed up 20min i know it should be 10 min then it could be an avap line after that.
So am i or not?

I asked this last night and was wondering what advice I could get from the day crowd?
I found a vibrator in my 13 year old son's closet...I'm not too sure what to do? He's home schooled and I'm not too sure where he got it from. I feel like I should talk to him about it...kind of make it a bonding experince. His father died 2 years ago and he's been acting diffrently since. and the thing is that she is only coming in to visit, she has no intention of taking her child with her. When she comes in, the child stops whatever she is doing (even when she is eating) and immediately starts crying. Her mother is very obnoxious and expects us to stop what we are doing to cater to her (the mother, not the child) and doesn't even care that she is interrupting anything. Then after 15 min. she leaves and the child stays upset for 10 minutes after. I just would like a way to stop this from happening. It is extremely ANNOYING!!!!!!!
