all my joints ache, i have a headache. I feel terrible. I am 38 weeks pregnant, my cervix has softened and i am dilated to a one centimeter. Been having contractions all day, but they are not coming together. they are still irregular. dr said take tylenol and rest but i just want to know if labor is coming soon. SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY PLEASE

i have called the doctor and she is aware of my discomfort. she also said that there was nothing to help right now either. just wondering.

I delivered preterm at 31 weeks...... and guess what my symptoms were!?!?!? For 2 days i was completely convinced i had the flu ( I was preggo w/ twins) until the third morning when my membranes ruptured. Althought my Dr said that she may have passed it off as the flu too, some women do have flu like symptoms when going into labor.

when i was due, i had contractions ALL WEEKEND before they would keep me at the hospital. Going for walks, and having sex will bring on labor. That is what my doctor told me.

Doesnt sound like you have long, but i also think you might have the viral infection thats been going around, drink plenty of warm fluid, and make sure you rest.

You should ask your doctor this or call Labor and Delivery at your local hospital and ask a nurse. Having the flu is not a sign of labor.

at 38 weeks its coming soon I wouldn't be concered until the water breaks then you can painic
