We have started potty training our 16 month old daughter . She has all of the "ready signs " we have discussed this topic with her Pediatrician and she says go for it . I say this to resist anyone from mentioning that she is too young . She has already urinated in the adult toilet 5 times in 2 days . She is very smart and has been very pround of herself . I also want to stress that we are very gentle with this matter . We are not pushing her into anything . She is very excited to sit on the toilet and pee . I am wondering about the pros and cons of using a potty seat versus an insert for the adult toilet . Any potty tips would be helpful . Also , did anyone let their toddler run around naked to ease training ? How did that go ? Did anyone put the potty seat any where other than the bathroom for easier access ? Please only loving answers !

I usually let my 2 yr. old son fall asleep in my bed. When he goes to sleep we put him back in his bed. If/When he wakes up in the middle of the night (crying) he comes and gets in the bed with me and my husband. Should I allow him to sleep with us or put him back in his bed? Or not let him fall asleep in my bed to begin with? Oh, also his 3 mo. old sister sleeps in our room in her crib so he's a bit jealous of that. What should I do?.....help.

I was only 13 when I had to make that choice because i had been raped by someone 25 years older than me.!!!!!! I'm sick of other people Judging me about my choice. I am totally serious. For the past week I have been having bad dreams about having my baby. For instance, last night I had a dream when my baby was born it was six feet tall and sleeping in a twin bed. He was crying in the middle of the night and when I got up to take care of him the window was wide open and the wind was blowing like crazy. I closed the window and he went back to sleep. This is just one dream. Is this normal? Has anyone else went through the same thing? Is this a sign of anything to come?

I am 39 weeks pregnant, 3cm dilated, 25% effaced. This is my second pregnancy and if I do not go into labor on my own I will be induced Monday.

when u get put on the shot aren't you pose to be on ur cycle? Ok well they didn't do that 2 me....my period was pose to come on the 23rd...it didn't.....I got put on the shot the 25th...as of today my period hasn't came on yet...is that ok....and was my period pose to stop as soon as I got on it...help please

I am 34 and my husband and I have been trying for a few months. Today, we got the news that I'm pregnant with our first child. I need some good suggestions for pregnancy books that will help me get through the next 8 months with ease.. I want to know (from other mama's experiences!) about alternatives to the standard "hospital birth". I do not want to give birth in a hospital, for fear that they will try to cut me open, try to give me medication, or try to otherwise prevent me from having a 100% natural childbirth.

How can I be SURE that my desires for a natural childbirth will be respected? I understand, if there are complications threatening the health of me or my child, that doctor's intervention would be necessary. But, I do NOT see justifying a Cesarean because I'm "taking too long" to give birth or something.

If this isn't possible, what are my options, and how do I go about getting them set in motion? For example, how would I go about having a safe home birth? Or, can I birth in a hospital, with no doctors in the room? Etc. Please help me, I feel that my intense fear of hospitals would complicate the birth, and end up causing a VERY stressful situation for me and my baby!

I am 21, I already have a one year old. First time having sex after concieving her and I am now pregnant. Everyone says it is up to me, but I don't know what to do. The guy says the same thing. Why do you think abortion is wrong, and why do you think it's murder?

Please do NOT give "facts" about abortion relevant to "God", or the bible. There is NO proof of "God", therefore your "facts" are fiction.

Also, Why do you get into other peoples' business? Please answer that.
What I don't understand is why people get so worked up over abortion. If you think abortion is wrong, just don't have one!
Why do you feel the need to tell other people what to do with THEIR bodies? Why do you even CARE what other people do with their bodies and fetuses? We have a right to do whatever we want. So why do you waste so much time caring about other peoples' bodies, lives, and fetuses? Why don't you worry about your own life?
Please answer ALL of those question!
