they'll inject something that helps you stretch ALOT but the pain is there. It still beats the other method though and the children should come out one by one and normally you don't get things stuck into you either, just talk to your doctor and he or she'll tell you all the details.

Well, speaking from personal experience, my son is 20 months old. They stick things up there. There hands, possibly a fetal monitor, etc. As far as the pain goes, I was all for an epideral. I wish i wouldn't have waited so long. Got mine at 5 cm. All i can say is good luck and as long as you get your epideral, you should be fine.

First off, congratulations!! :-)
I only have one child, a son. When I was in labor my water had not broken yet, and the mid wife used this plastic thing, (it looked kind of like a knitting needle)she stuck it in there. It didn't hurt, and the release of the water felt really good.
You should definately have an epidural. I gave birth naturally and my son weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz.

Aren't you going to a doctor? The people who are doing all your prenatal care should be giving you all this information.

It's called a vaginal birth.....and you should tell them not to do that just as you would tell them not to stick things in their nose or ears.

You mean you're having triplets?
If you are having triplets I am almost certain they will require you to have a c-section.
