A couple reasons: In some cases because a 'boyfriend' for a 13yo isn't what adults think of as a boyfriend- it's just some guy you see at school who you think is cute and who thinks you are cute. I never spoke a verbal word to my 1st boyfriend, in middle school; we only exchanged notes. 2nd reason- in some cases because parents are way too loose- kids are allowed to be seriously involved at 13 and younger, that is ridiculous. And 3rd reason, parents are not there for them- I would not want my daughter (now 3 months old) to have a boyfriend at 13, but if she did I would want her to feel she could talk to me and not sneak around.

none of those are the right answers some of us are actually mature enough believe it or not to actually handle a real boyfriend with *real* problems I am not saying that some dont make up stuff but some of us actually have real problems and instead of criticizing us you actually try to give advice instead of being smart a$$es about everything and stop telling us to go play with barbie dolls we have questions just like anyone else so if we need advice on an ex bf try to give us some and quit telling us were to young!!

Maybe they feel comfortable getting advice from nameless faceless people that they do not have to see everyday. Or maybe they want to see if the advice they are getting at home coincides with they way the rest of the world thinks.

Because parents are not there for their kids anymore. They are too busy working. Children need guidance. They need to be taught to set appropriate goals in life.

They watch way too much tv dramas and they just reenact it in their behavior. It is a phase that will last a while until they mature.

Because most parents today are careless. They are letting their little kids play "grown up" and date instead of making them be little kids.

Because they want attention, because they're in a huge rush to feel like adults, because they're making up problems that don't exist (see 'they want attention')
