I was only 13 when I had to make that choice because i had been raped by someone 25 years older than me.!!!!!! I'm sick of other people Judging me about my choice. I feel you can't judge anyone till you've walked a mile in their shoes. I just want to know how many other people feel the same way I do.

Hi,I am so sorry to here about you being raped at such a young and horrible age!Yes I do agree with you because that baby was brutally concieved and will not want to live knowing that he was created intensly and horribly! Rape is a sick and dreadful thing and everytime I think about people being raped I get mentally ill.
I hope the dick head that raped you rots in jail for all's eternity!
Well anyways I agree with you abortion is right under rape.
And if anyone says that was wrong that you had an abortion just tell them to go fly a kite or go pound salt because they didnt endure what you did! Good Luck to you and everything you do!

You are right and you should not be judged for your abortion.

I am pro choice politically. I feel a women has a right and it is non of anyone's business about the reason why. Every girl has a reason and not up to any to say it is valid.

You were raped and it was not your choice to have that sexual encounter. It was not your choice to become pregnant. However, it was your choice to carry the pregnancy to term or to abort. You have that power.

I feel it is wrong that a male took away your power and society thinks they have the right to take away your power of choice to make yourself better from the situation.

If I was to be raped and had no means of carrying to term, I might consider. Yet, I mostly would give for adoption since personally, I don't think I could put myself through that.

I think you are strong and need to swat off all those ignorant people who judge you.

while personally i do not usually agree that abortion is the answer i believe that in your case it was the right thing to do. You did not ask to be rapped and were tramatised at a young age both through the rape and the abortion. I really dont think people should judge you. You did waht was best for you and ultimately the baby. At 13 your body isnt capable usually of producing a fully developed and healthy baby and even if it lived it would probably have significant health problems. I support you in your decision and I wish you the best of luck in the future, stay alert at all times, and most of all stay strong

I think it is acceptable to have an abortion if a girl has been raped. Personally, I am pro-life, and i oppose abortion. But since this is something you couldnt have controlled and u had no choice, you should be able to have an abortion if you want one. Don't worry! It's not your fault. I hate it when people judge others without knowing what they go through. Think about ur decision, and do what your heart tells you to do.

honey, i don't blame u. i would have done the same thing if that happened 2 me and i would still do it no matter what age i was. people who tell u that u were wrong, tell them f*** u! u were young and how were u going 2 take care of a baby at 13? that is way 2 young 2 take care of a baby. what did they think? that u were a pro at taking care of a baby? stupid people who told u that! i'm glad u made that choice. i'm very sorry 4 what happened 2 u. i hope u find someone who will care and love u very much and not take advantage of u just bcuz u were raped at a young age.

First and for most if you do not want persons to judge you then KEEP YOUR BUSINESS TO YOURSELF, WHEN YOU ASK QUESTIONS FOR PEOPLE TO ANSWER YOU LEAVE YOUR SELF WIDE OPEN FOR A PERSON TO SAY WHAT THEY WANT TO YOU. PEOPLE HAVE THEIR OP IONS AND THAT IS THAT. I WOULD NEVER TELL ANYONE I HAD AN ABORTION THAT IS SOMETHING I WOULD KEEP TO MYSELF, I'D KEEP MANY THINGS TO SELF BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT MOST PERSONS ARE ABOUT MANY PEOPLE ARE JUDGEMENTAL. But we live & learn. And STOP wearing your heart on your sleeve. And KEEP YOUR BUSINESS TO SELF. I am SO sorry you got raped but whatever the reason there are people who could care less then there are some who care so much but as you said UNTIL YOU HAVE WALKED A MILE IN SOMEONES SHOES THEN ONE CAN'T SAY MUCH OF ANYTHING. I can not say what I would have done, BUT I WOULD HOPE I'D NEVER HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE LIKE THAT ONE JUST AS I'D HOPE NEVER TO BE RAPED. TAKE CARE.

Because of my belief, that a baby is a baby at conception, I can not understand abortion in any case. Of course I feel horrible for the young girl in this situation, and wish she was never in it, but it's not the baby's fault. I can understand why a young girl would make this decision and would never say anything mean to her. If you are not raised to think abortion is wrong, then you can't blame her, plus she's too young to be held accountable for that decision.

You should always have the choice. If you're unable to care for the baby, which at 13 is the case, then abortion is a MUST! You did the right thing.

I stand with you...and respect your courage to bring what happened to you in this forum. I believe rape should allow without red-tape or question a woman to have an abortion--followed by state funded counseling and therapy (at the victim's request).

I think in this case, rape victims have rights--just as we have rights to defend ourselves against lethal aggressors. It's warped in my view for states to suggest abortion prohibition in cases of rape, to protect the child of banal animalistic violence.

On the overall abortion controversy, I remain neutral. I, however, feel if a woman can live the rest of her life knowing she had an abortion for reasons OTHER than rape, then so be it.

I know of such a girl, and to this day, she struggles with her decision to have an abortion......and that's the tradegy of the issue.
