I'm 23 and just recently switched off of the Ortho Evra patch because it was increasing my uterine lining and causing break through bleeding both randomly and durring sexual activity. They put me on Junel fe 1/20 (the generic version of Loestrin fe 1/20) and looking online I have found some good things and alot of bad. I just want to get feedback from anyone who has taken Microgestin, Junel fe, or Loestrin fe. Some of the negatives I have seen online are hair loss, weight gain, and loss of libedo. I am scared that this will give me nothing but problems. Please answer if you have any expieriance with these pills.

Baby rice in his bottle?

I have an 8 month old baby boy who eats solids in the day and then wakes for one or two bottles in the night, which I would love to get him out of the habit of waking up for! I have been advised to put either baby rice or rusks in his bottle, but is this a good idea and how much baby rice/rusk would I put in an 8 oz bottle of formula? Thanks

I just got my son circumcised today.?

He will be a month tomorrow, he isn't crying a lot but he acts like he hurts. They told me I could give him Infant Tylenol, anyone know how much to give him? thank you so much!

YES. Girls/women CAN get pregnant even if the penis does not go inside the vagina. Please read up before answering if you do not know for sure. You are playing with people's lives by giving incorrect information.

What are some good uses for dryer sheets?

I've heard of many good uses for dryer sheets besides using them in the laundry. I put them in the bottom of my trash can before I put the bag in to keep the garbage smell out. I also use the already used dryer sheets to dust my tv and other electronics. I also hang them throughout my closets to keep my clothing smelling fresh. Do you have any more ideas?

P.S. I'm asking this in Pregnancy/Parenting because the people who answer these questions are the most brilliant, resourceful people in the world! Right? ;-)

Cutting off a planinum wedding band?

I'm pregnant and my fingers are swelling. I've had trouble getting my rings off in the past, I had a surgery earlier this year and was faced with the same problem. However, for the first time, they are beginning to hurt. I've been to jewelers who told me they only have equipment for gold rings, and the hospital said that if a jeweler can't do it then neither can they. Does anyone have any suggestions?

what do i do about my pregnant girlfriend?

okay my girlfriend is pregnant and she is about 6 months well last night i told her to give the baby up for adobtion because im not ready to be a father and i want to go into the mariens well she told me and she was not going to and that i should have said something earlier and i should be supporting her not giving her a hard time right now well im not ready to be a father and i think we should so i can have a life in the marines what do i to convice my girlfriend to or do you think it's wrong that i am even mentioning it to her because she was crying last night about it i don't know what to do im just so mad at her she wont do what i want her to do what do i do? and trust me i am thinking about me and her i do love her and i want us to have good lives and she can not give me one good reason why she wants to keep with baby all she says is it is hard to explain and that she is attached i dont see how that baby is not here yet she is being so selfish towards me

my wife is using contraceptive pills for 5 yrs.she is tested neither positive nor getting periods? any answers

she is on contraceptive pills for last five yrs r so. this month she forgot to take regular dose of it and take precautionary dose as suggested in the leaflet book.her dentist also has given some antibiotic drugs like ciproflaxacxin and tinidazole this month also.now this month she missed her periods.bt problem does nt end here she is being tested negative also continuously by doctors also.on the otherhand she is nt getting her periods tooo.she is nt finding any indications for pregnacy either nausea r vomittimg like this. v r in deep trouble what shud v do ?

how am i'm going to be able to make it?

My 6 yr old has started to have very bad behavior since I became envolved in my first serious relationship since she was a baby. She loves my boyfriend but she throws tantrums,hits and pinches him. She has never displayed behavior like this before.

I can't get my 2 yr. old to use the potty....any suggestions?

He'll be 3 in December, and I've been trying for about 2 weeks to get him potty trained, he always waits until he gets off of the potty and goes in his pull-up. This is the second time I've tried. I've tried bribing him with stickers and suckers and that still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

What activities will motivate my 12 year old son?

I have tried to involve my son in extra curricular activities, but when we go he always gets scared. He says he doesn't like it when there are a lot of other people/kids there. Usually the classes have around 10 kids. I homeschool my son and want him to be more socialable, but really freaks out when I try to bring him to activities with lots of other people. I believe he has a low self esteem and insecurity due to a lot of changes in our lives. He has had to deal with a new step dad and a huge move to another state. I realize it has been hard on him and I do try to talk with him. He always says he is fine, but he doesn't much like to leave our home. I love my son and want him to be happy and get the most out of life. What should I do?

Baby fussy during breastfeeding...?

My 5 months old has started to get very fussy when I'm breastfeeding her. She will pull away and grump and hit me and claw at my shirt. I haven't changed my diet and she otherwise seems fine. She is teething, but she has been for about a month and a half and this fussiness just started a couple of days ago. I am wondering if a) she is letting me know that she wants to ween off of the breast, or b) her teething has become even more painful.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

FYI - I already supplement with a bottle of formula at her last feeding of the day and have for 3 months.
