Here are some wonderful “facts” I have seen on here that make me laugh:

When a baby is not with his mother 24/7 the baby learns that his efforts are in vain and that world is a cruel place that doesn't care about his needs.

If a child is watched by his father or grandma (while mom is at work) the baby will not evolve as the baby require his mother 24/7 to “evolve.”

If a baby is not with his mother 24/7 he will have bad health, depression and anxiety.

If the baby is in daycare or watched by family, the baby’s father is more likely to be disapproving of the baby.

The use of day care is abuse and neglect of your child.

Who the **** writes this crap? Anyone else think this is ridiculous?

I had an abnormal test suggesting down syndrome and was wondering if any other women experienced this same thing but only to find out that everything was in fact OKAY? I have heard that there are quite a few false-positives with this screening and am hoping and praying that everything is ok. I am having an amniocentesis done this upcoming week....wish me luck!

We will be attending a week-long outdoor music festival when my daugher is 12.5 months old. She currently is 11.5 months and nurses 15-25 times daily. We will have a nice quiet place to go nurse but I'm still a little worried about the effect it might have on our nursing relationship. She did have one ten-day nursing strike when she was ten months old but that was due to a sore throat. I'm a worry-wart LOL, any experiences you can share would be appreciated.

i was wanting the opinions of mums about an idea i had for making abit of spare cash.

would the idea of being able to buy fresh, homemade organic baby purees and meals appeal to you? i make all of my sons meals at home and really enjoy cooking so i was thinking of it as a potential way of making some pocket money.

i would make it all at home, freeze it up into single portions with all the cooking instruction ingredients etc included so u knew exactly what you were giving you baby. it would be healthier than processed baby jars or microwave meals.

i would possibly even start a home delievery kinda thing. and keep the prices resonable

it was just an idea but i am interested to know would it be the kind that mums out there would be interested in, or if not why not?

thanks in advance for any feedback

there is a possibilty that i can be pregnant, because of a condom breaking with my boyfriend and i. so ive taken 2 hpt test, both negative. could i still be pregnant?I'am going to make an appointment at planned parenthood, this week. but do you know if they could do a blood test? im assuming i might not have enough hcg for the stick to indentify, since ive read in many cases some women have gotten negative results from hpt's, yet they take a blood test and find out they have been pregnant all along.

i'am already feeling so tired, i have to pee every 5 minutes,my breast have been really sore and ive been feeling mild cramps for weeks.
so yeah. just looking for some advise and opinions.
thanks.

My wife has spoken to her boss about getting a new schedule after the baby is born.

She wanted to leave at 2pm everyday because her boss said it would be okay a few months ago.

Well now her co-worker decided she wanted to leave at 2pm so she could make sure her 16 and 17 get home after school because its too hard for them to call her when they get home.

Her kids are not into trouble, she was just saying this because she wanted to go home early too.

Well, the boss said they both can’t leave at 2pm. So she told my wife no since the co-worker has been employed there longer.

My wife was super upset because she feels a new mother should be chosen over the other co-worker.

She wants to find another job now even though she loves her job.

Is it right that my wife is upset?

wanted to see a picture of my little one when she was born. I promised to post it today. Still a little weak and tired but very very happy. Also to those who wondered about the labor, it was a breeze. My first baby and I was only in labor a little over an hour. I did get the epidural but it only worked on the right side. they were going to redo it but I was already dilated. They broke my water at 11:30 a.m. I had 8 hard contractions which I only felt on my left side and I gave birth at 12:48p.m. It was not half as bad as I thought. Thanks to all for the advice. I am the proud mama of Haley Alexis. When you go to the website The baby was born July 25 and the parents are Calvin & Rebecca. it's www.sparks.org go to internet babies.

this is a typical day with my daughter please help.
she cries alot. she likes to play by herself even if there are other kids around. she will spend a good bit of time spinning around til she gets dizzy or she jumps and jumps and jumps. she seems to zone out alot and will stare at something for awhile or stare at the ceiling fan. we can not take her out to the store because she just cant handle it we stopped taking her out to eat it was just to hard. she hates and wont keep on socks or shoes. she has a speech delay. its very hard to get her to eat something unless she wants to eat (yes i know she is 2 but what do you do if she wont eat she has gone for 4 days at a time with out eating) she only has 3 bottles a day (hey pick your battles as my pcp says) and 1 sippy cup of juice. she dont sleep through the night and naps are far & few and cries alot after waking up she cant self calm (behavorist is even stumped what to do) she throws a temper that could scare nanny 911.

39 weeks and 2 days today, 2cm dilated and 70% effaced. As the doc was checking for dilation and effacement she went ahead and stripped my membranes without warning (damn that hurt). Has anyone done this, and what's the success rate for those of you who have had it, because I sit here and probably half the time over exaggerate the pain I'm going through with every contraction since I'm sitting here waiting for labor to begin. I know all of our bodies respond differently but I still would like to here stories.

I want to get my 2yr old into modeling. she has a great personality and absolutely loves the camera!
She is a little social butterfly wtih a bundle of energy. She thrives on giving and recieving attention. She is great with people and other kids....she is also friendly, personable and cute as a button.....I have only come to this conclusion after people have been over the past year ro more been telling us (her parents) to get her into acting or modeling. It is not just because she is pretty, she has got something special about her that always attracts people from all walks of life.
People stop us all the time and every where we go...she melts down the most uptight people with her hearty laughter.
We always hear "Oh my god! she is sooo cute!" Only to turn around to find our two year old entertaining a bunch of folks with her own made up acts. Its just incredible! we do not teach her anything other than the normal abc's etc, and she is an only child.
