Like colleges? Well, the theory is that they have a better education system. Also, private schools tend to be smaller with more one-one student interactions. They also tend to filter out what society declares low class. I go to a private college and I think that it is expensive and that it is just typical people from every world. I got a scholarship to go here and when my middle class self was offered it I took the chance to get the college's name on my degree for future jobs.

I've gone to private schools since pre-school and no, the teachers absolutely do NOT get paid more than public schools - they actually get paid much less. I know this as a fact becasue my mom works at a public school and one of her good friends is a teacher at my brothers' private school. Private schools get no federal funding, therefore, have to rely on tuition to pay to keep the school running.

Teachers don't actually get paid more, usually they get paid less. It's just because private schools don't get funding from the government like public schools do.

Because they do not get funded through taxes as public schools do. They have to rely on "tuition" in order to keep their doors open and the curriculum up to date.
