Who is the genius that came up with taking the swings away from the playgrounds at school, or why they can't use their imagination any longer on the playgrounds? I was informed that my child was being a nusence on the playground because she came up with her own version of a ball game called "crazy ball" that she thought of playing four square. Because her game wasn't an "official" playground game she was banned from outdoor recess for a week! Needless to say I raised holy hell. I am aware that there are dangers involved in everyday playing among kids but Jesus God people. We have an obese epidemic with our kids in America. It couldn't possibly be because all our kids want to do is sit in front of some screen with a remote control or game controller could it? I know it is up to the parent but is it really anymore?

I've always put my baby to bed on his back, he's 6 months old now, and he's started flipping onto his stomach in the middle of the night, and he usually goes back to sleep, but I'm always afraid he'll end up smothering himself in his sleep. Should I really be worried?

She's almost 21 weeks old and has done very well on carrots, sweet potato, peas and, of course, cereal.

Now I'm wondering if it is a good time to introduce fruits. Which fruits are best to start with?

Also, how should I give them to her? Should I give them at the same time as her veggies, or separately?

I just don't understand how the states take away the responsibility of discipline from the parents but hold the parents responsible for any and all actions of the kid. Did anyone know that you can go to jail now for yelling at your child in public if you use profanity or say something considered "too harsh of words"? It's very sad that America can't figure out what is going wrong with our youth or why we can no longer control our own kids. It couldn't possibly be because all kids now have A.D.D and A.D.H.D or A.B.C.D or E.F.G.H or whatever else they are over medicating our children for..... And for you kid psychologist and "how to raise your kid by a book written about someone else's kid" followers , sorry if I've offended.....

My wife and I have been together for 5 years and married for 1.5 years of that time.

She finally said she didn't want to wait any longer to have a baby (she is 23 and I am 25) and that I needed to set a date to start trying.

I told her we would start next May when we pay off the house so I will have $2300 extra every month for a baby. And she agreed to that and has been really happy that we will start soon.

Everyday she talks about how she is excited that in 10 months we are going to try for a baby. She likes to see the baby clothes and talks to me about it and sometimes cries because she says it hurts that she doesn't have a baby yet and time is going by slow.

I keep telling her 10 months will go by fast, but she seems to really be upset about this.

How do I deal with this?

He wanted me to have an abortion because he isnt ready for another child. He does'nt want anything to do with the pregnancy but is prepared to support his child when its born, Will he come round to the idea and give the ralationship another go or do you think thats it. He says he still loves me. Is time all ive got ?? Do i wait for the initial shock to settle in then see what happens ?? PLEASE HELP !!!!

I would like to hear real accounts from parents whose child takes ADHD meds. My son, who is 4 1/2, was just diagnosed with ADHD. He is an exceptioanlly smart and gifted child for his age. He exhibits many of the common signs of ADHD. After much soul searching and advice from 2 of his daycare teachers, I had him tested. I know what the Dr. says, but I want to know experiences from parents. I have seen it make kids a zombie and also help. This is the last resort in a long line of different ways to deal with his behavior and I am examining all angles of treatment. First hand accounts would be very helpful. Thank you!!!

my husband and i are trying to conceive. I've noticed that sometimes his sperm has a really bad smell inside me after ejaculation and sometimes it doesn't. Could this have something to do with hormone changes in me or could it be his diet . He doesn't drink so I know it's not that. Anyone have similar situation or any answers

i'm really annoyed as people have wrote back to me without knowing the full story.i,as a lot of people i know shorten there words when sending text msgs as it saves room and you can fit more into a msg.when i put my question on last nite about concieving i wrote in the same way, forgetting,as i use the pc for web text too so i cut my words the way i always do,instead of answering my question about what i asked, jennifer b,whoever she is asumed i can't spell and claimed your dumb if you cant and shouldn't be able to breed!she claims she is clever so if she is what about real people with learning difficulties that cant spell or maybe read, shouldn't they be able to have kids,at least they can learn, jennifer b should address her own problems rather than trying to put other people down to try make herself feel good just to earn points!eventually i will be blessed with a child that will be brought up in a good loving home, jennifer b wasn't or she wouldn't be getting off on people's misfortunes
