When you marry someone its for love. You cannot just up and leave the man because of a medical condition. Would he leave her if she had say cancer? For sickness and in health....death do u part.......blah blah blah! They are partners in life and have 10 wonderful years together. There are so many teens out there giving up their babies and so many children who need and want a mom and dad all their own- they can always give all their love to another child and make that child theres. Leaving him would be a huge slap in the face. Theres more to a man than making babies!

If she does, she's a pathetic, shallow self-absorbed *****!!!!!!

Just because he can't produce a child the "natural" way, does not mean that there aren't other alternatives (sperm extraction from the good testicle for example). How about sperm banks???

Or hey --- how about this??? ADOPT!!! There are a gob of babies out there and more kids than adoption agencies, foster homes & reckless, stupid, too-young parents know what to do with.

Your "friend" (I use the term loosely - my moral fiber is too high to sustain a friendship with such a selfish child) should really explore her reasons for being married.

i am not here to say whethe she should divorce him or not because i think that is a decision she has to make herself. However, for her husband, if he has bilateral undescended testes, he, in all likelihood, will not father any child, whether by natural conception or IVF.

If he has one good testis, then the chances are still there if the semen analysis show good results.

Nonetheless, the more important issue here is that he should have the undescended testis or testes removed surgically because they are at higher risk of developing testicular cancer.

This is not a reason to break their wedding vows. I can't believe she would even consider leaving the man she has been with for 10 years because the poor guy has a medical problem and can't have a child of his own...that would be so selfish of her, and why are you asking this for her and making it your business? Please tell her adoption is a really great option, as well as going to a sperm bank and getting a donor so she could still birth a child of her own. This is sad.

is that a serious question? They've been married over 10 years and she would divorce him cause they can't have children? If she leaves him for that, there's no way that's the only problem. There are other options..

They sound particularly bright. In their late 30's and just now realize he only has one testicle. And these are the brainiacs that want to reproduce. They deserve each other.

No, she shouldn't leave him or divorce him. There are other alternatives they can try - maybe invitro or artificial insemination (with his sperm or a donor's). If that isn't an option they can always look into adopting.

No, that is a horrible reason to leave or devorce someone. She should accept that she wont get any children out of her husband. Maybe they should look into adoption.

no, that is wrong, that would mean she never loved him. there are other ways. she can go to a sperm bank if she wants to carry or adopt. there are plenty of kids who wish they had a mommy and a daddy
