My baby brother was just born on Wednesday ans he weighed 6 pounds. And when a nurse came to check hiim up today he is 5.114 pounds. The nurse said it's okay.

With all the kids that are in this world with out families why does it cost so much to adopt a child? It costs anywhere between 8,000-30,000 to adopt that is crazy. There are so many people that want to adopt and would be great parents but dont have that kind of money. Shouldn't we base adoption on the people not the money they can come up with. Not to mention some of the laws like single people can adopt (which is awesome) but if your marries most states passed a law that you have to be married 3 years minimum before beginning the adoption process..Thats bull.. I just dont think it should cost that much to give a child a loving and protective home...any thoughts???

i barely fed my newborn baby for about 3 weeks. now i want to go back to exclusive breast feeding. but my milk supply is very low. my baby drinks for more than an hour and still seems hungry and drinks about 2 to 3 ounces of formula afterwards. plz help me and tell me how can I increase my milk supply so my baby doesnt stay hungry afterwards.

ok,so me and my boyfriend have been 2getha 4 almost 2years on friday;;last week or the week before he came over and we watched a movie! then i got on top of him and we were basically just humping eachother and i had on pajama pants and my underware and he had on boxers and like basketball shorts. so from there we were just basically just humping eachother and were like kissing with lots of passion and from there we moved to my couch and i gave him a "*******" and that was all tht we did. We are trying for our second baby but in my first pregnancy I had an anterior placenta (where the placenta lays between the baby and your stomack muscles, rather than the baby and your back). LUCKILY it was not low lying and i was able to give birth normally, but if it had been low lying (placenta praevia/previa) i would have had a c-section.

I am worried that this could happen again, so i would like to know how common it is to have 2 anterior placentas in succession, or is it rare to have it happen a second time? The first time was apparently very unusual in first time pregnancies and there was no reason for it. The doctor could not say whether or not it could happen again!! The only side effects I had were a HUGE placenta as it had more space to grow, and i didn't feel any kicking under my ribs! I'm just a bit worried that if it happens again it could be low lying and i would need a c-section - i'm terrified of surgery!

I need to hear from parents that have been in this situation before, or a psychologist that can advise me what the correct thing to do would be.

My daughter is 11 and it is her first time going to sleep-away camp. We live in FL and her camp is in NY. She has been there for 2 weeks now and is desperate to come home. I just spoke to her and she begged me to pick her up. She threatened to starve herself. (Something she has NEVER said before.) I later spoke to the camp director, and she told me that the child IS very home-sick, but that she is functioning and participating in the activities. We are not allowed to speak to her on the phone. This call was an exception. My daughter also told me not to write to her anymore, because everytime she sees our letters she cries and it makes it worse. I want to do what is right for her. Is picking her up before the session is over right or wrong? There are 2 more weeks of camp. PLEASE HELP. Thanks.
