Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 June 2006

I am asking a lot of kiddie queries because I have been deemed by the courts to be the custodian of my crackhead sisters infant child. I have no kids of my own, and I really am not feeling this, but, if I don't take Jan'ai (my neice) she will go into foster care. I have made so many plans with my husband. We were due to vacation in Mexico this next month, about the fourth of July. But now, I have to go buy diapers and some special milk Ja'nai has to have called (nutramagen) sp? Set up a nursery, and get ready to play mamma when I am not ready to. I feel like, if she wanted to live the streetlife, she should have never gotten pregnant. Now, my husband and I (who are in the military) have to adopt and care for this 4 month old crackbaby. I don't even know where to begin. Everything gets finalized next week, and she comes home. How do I be a mother to a baby I have never even met, or birthed? I never even had a kitten. I'm scared.

make the most ridiculous suggestions about parenting? Allowing your children to sleep with you at night to help them sleep better is a HORRIBLE suggestion. This does not help "save a soul", but rather raises a co-dependent needy brat.

I have been with this man for 12 yrs and I have a kid already but I want another.My kid is 17 yrs old and I have been trying for some yrs now. and nothing is happening. He has kids too. I went to the doctor and he said that I'll never have another cause of fibrols.I pray to God alot for another baby. I mean I just want 1 child. Let me break down what I gather. You seem to have disaaociated yourself from reality and life, and have decided to live vicariously through a being that you "created", (God complex) meshed with perhaps a longing of a life long pas you with opportunities long past you because you were young, dumb, and full of...well, we all know the rest. Does any one who is 20 or younger really have ANYTHING, ANYTHING of substance to offer a child these days? I'm not talking about the good old farming days of old, I mean the here and now. The cold cruel world we are releasing kids into. Did you do it just cause "babies are cute"?? Did you not realize babies are small human beings with thier own conscience and soul, and free will...and will grow up to be whatever, and whoever they want to be. Sadly, they may even grow to hate you no matter what love you pour on them. Did you think it through? Really, did you? Please explain "My life is my kids to me". It's strangely moronic to me and will not compute.

Did you ever, after getting up form bed when you are really tied nd want tos leep more, or after 4 hours of non-stop computer gaming, have black outs? it happened to me and my brother. it starts with the sight. you start seeing grey moving things or black. i lose balance and have to hold on to something not to fall. i am 12 im gonna turn 13 next wednesday. thx in advance

Every soldier tells me they hate how fat and disgusting their wife is. The pictures prove it. Why are they all so fat? Is it from having 6 kids in 4 years? Why twinkines? Why not carrot sticks? Why can't they get a job of their own to support the family since your average E-1 through E-5 doesn't make sufficient funds to save up to finance a college education for 6 kids and pay the bills. Why are these women so lazy?

if i told the doctor my period came a month earlier than it did because i wasnt sure if it was a real period (even though it came at the exact time my period would usually come but only lasted 3 days and not very heavy) would my due date still be the same because of the measurements of the baby??? i am 21 weeks preg and find out wed if its a boy or girl...just wondering if i could be a month ahead than what they say, even though the baby measures exactly 2o weeks???

well yesterday my cousin just had her baby boy.he's so beatiful.he has the cutest eye and the lightest complection hes goregous.when i was holding him i felt so peaceful and happy.and i also felt i cant wait until im older and have a child of my own.how do u feel when you have a baby in your arms?

I get up at 5am every morning, get myself and my baby ready then take her to daycare then go to work until 4pm. By the time I get home its about 430 or later. I am starting to have trouble dealing with this. I am always exhausted and feel overwhelmed. Any advice how to deal with this? I dont want to have to be away from my daughter anymore than I have too so having someone watch her in the evening is not an option.

the last day of my peroid was may28 i didnt get a peroid this month i took a preganat test it says positive im 23 years old i have a 4 year old daughter she makes 5 in november so i did pretty good not getting preganant but im not preganant for my daughters father weve been off and on for about 2 years but i still love him but the guy im preganant for weve been 2 gether for 2 years hes very mean and controlling and jealous i was thinking about abortion should i consider doing it just this one time i know its wrong but this guy is not someone to have a kid with.

Ok, almost a year ago I lost my baby when I was four 1/2 mnth. pregnant. My husband and I have been trying again since October, with no luck. Now my chest is very tender and a little bigger. We had sex every other day since last week. Would I feel symptoms this early on? I have heard that after you had a baby, symptoms can start earlier. Any thoughts???

I have two kids from a previous marriage; they are in their teens almost. I’ve had it very rough financially; but thank God they are very good kids. I’m dating this guy that I’ve known for a long time now, he is a really nice guy and he doesn’t have kids, he would love to have his own. I always thought I never have more kids, but when I’m with him and I see the way he acts with the kids in his family and my own, for some reason, I can see myself having a baby with him. I always told him I didn’t want more kids, but I know that what he is looking for in a relationship is kids and all. I’m over 35 and under 40 and it worries me to have another child, I take folic acid everyday, watch my diet, exercise and the whole thing. How do I know that my body is ok to carry a healthy baby? It worries me also that he smokes.
