Every soldier tells me they hate how fat and disgusting their wife is. The pictures prove it. Why are they all so fat? Is it from having 6 kids in 4 years? Why twinkines? Why not carrot sticks? Why can't they get a job of their own to support the family since your average E-1 through E-5 doesn't make sufficient funds to save up to finance a college education for 6 kids and pay the bills. Why are these women so lazy?

Nice generalization.
I'm a military wife, and I am NOT fat and lazy. Why not take a look at the child care issue. It costs more to put a child in daycare, even on post, then most Mom's would make working. That's not beneficial. Most soldiers marry incredibly young, to even younger girls. They start families younger, make poor money decisions, and live above their means. Add to that the military actually advocates these young soldiers getting credit cards (DPP and UCDPP) with an interst rate of 19% and you have issues galore. You cannot lay the blame solely on the females. There are many things that factor into this lifestyle. I'd suggest you live it before you talk about it, especially negatively.

Good question. There really should be a study on that. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that each one of them moves away from their hometowns/states to support the GI husband. This is a big move for anyone and it probably only lends to a much bigger psychological abandonment of other hopes and dreams that previously held professional ambitions. Of course, the entire phenomonenon is only reinforced once a GI wife arrives at her new duty station to learn that all of the other wives are homebodys with no real daily productivity.

Well I'm not a twinkie fat a%$! I'm 5 ft 3 and 117 lbs, a size 5. My husband is a E-4 and we have 2 kids and get along just fine. My husband likes for me to be home with the kids, because they aren't in school yet. I have to admit that 80% of the wives I see are pretty big. I know there are smaller ones too though.

i'm a military wife and i'm not fat or lazy. i'm a stay at home mom. i walk 5 miles a day 3 days a week. and that doesn't include when i go out places. being a military wife i know others and none of then are fat...or money moochers.

I am a military wife and I am 5'6" and 110 pounds. My husband is E4 and we are just fine. I have a degree and I am able to work. We only have one child that is 6 and one on the way. We feel it is important to have one parent always available when the other is on deployment most of the time.

these days that can be be true, where alot of wives await the day there husband goes to war and then they start get the hazard pay and the wife sets home all day and spend money. back in the day military wives were proud, of them selves and of their husband they knew that themselves can reflect negatively on their husbands, and had to keep themselves up. Alot of them today are not its like they no longer care.And im not saying all are like that but are many greedy ones that do. but for the ones you are staying proud of themselves and their husband thank you

My sister in law is a military wife. She's not fat and lazy cause while my bro is gone she uses his money to get high and date other men.

you know, i'm 4'11'', 100 lbs, in shape...and i'm an army wife. I don't work because my husband doesn't WANT me to while he's gone. He's an E-3 and we're doing just fine with a truck and house payment. I'm not fat, i'm not lazy, and i'm happy. Not ALL military wives are like that. Just the ones they complain about. Ask some of the guys who don't complain. Bet their wives are a little more like me.

Yes, I went to Iraq to fight for Oil, I come back and my wife is pregnant with her co-workers child, not only that but shes fat like a blimp. She tried to blame it on me, I walked out on her, no kids. I gave her my whole bank account and started a new life. She ruined me but in teh end she'll get what she deserves.
